Why not ban chevron markings or ''V'' which is used extensively by American, British and Israeli tanks when they invaded other countries.

Evidently, it’s not about it being banned for being used as a symbol of communication by Russian troops. Instead, it is being banned because of its usage as an expression of support to said invasion itself.



The comparisons you make are then just a bit stupid. And also, for extremely obvious reasons, events in the world are judged from one’s own context. Hence, the German government and most German people will evaluate things from their own context.


As such, wars with implicit or explicit approval by either the German government or public (such as invasion of Afghanistan) is not gonna be as controversial.
