Actually, in good old California they are going to restart a mental health code to force homeless into such a facility. They are saying if you don't go voluntarily then you must be mentally ill! So, if you are homeless in CA, you may soon be locked away!

The last time I checked we have a free country. You cannot incarcerate people for the crime of being homeless. A lot of homeless are doing it by choice. Most shelters do not allow drugs or alcohol. They would rather be on the streets.

Imho it should be like the old days. Home owners have much more say and representation. Loitering is a crime. Littering is a crime. Theft is a crime. Between the shopping carts, hanging around streets, and throwing trash anywhere they are always at some point breaking the law. They are even jumping the walls of gated communities. I'm about ready to kick this one guy's ass because he harasses my wife and Im ready to roll up on him at night and break both his knee caps with a baseball bat

To an extent. But isn't it so that "one person's freedom ends where another's starts"? In other words surely the homeless don't have a right to jump fences in gated communities to shoot up, vandalize, loiter, litter, etc in those areas. And surely private businesses have the right to have them removed from the premises.

But if they're mentally ill and the like we have facilities for such people. Most are mentally ill and need proper medical aid and treatment. FEMA camps can give them a roof, food, entertainment, medicine, and safety
