Why are so many citizens homeless while illegals get put up at hotels, given free everything, including health care?

This is getting ridiculous. The illegals come, get free everything, and even get spending money from the government, while our homeless, including many homeless vets, get jack shit? These illegals get more than our elderly who can't afford to heat or cool their homes or get their life-saving medicine. I know one relative who eats crackers for dinner. This is total bullshit from the Biden Administration.

This is happening for a number of reasons, but the biggest one is that the Dems want to flip Texas and other southern states to blue, and also increase the number of Reps in the senate by putting more people in left-leaning states. In many states, illegals can already vote in local elections, and they will count in the census regardless of their immigration status, so it's a way to cheat the system at great expense to the taxpayers.

Colleges have convinced Millennials and Gen Z that "everyone who wants to come to the US should be allowed to do so" without bothering to explain to them that THEY will be the ones who has to pay for it. The bill, of course, won't be labeled "illegal immigration", but rather "inflation" and "loss of new jobs" and "high unemployment" and "higher property taxes" and "the state's budget deficit" - and somehow people will fail to put 2 and 2 together and will keep voting for this crap.

I cannot make sense of this other than as a human replacement strategy or "grow the economy" by debt. that is, if we aren't making enough offspring, they govt will import people and pay them so they survive and thrive.

it is easier to bring in a hungry person and get them to work (say within 10 years) than rehab someone that has given up.

it's really cruel, but still doesn't make sense why others are kicked out and migrants come in. it's the law... but maybe the law should be any us citizen gets access to the resources first?

this is not the biden admin, been going on back since obama, possibly clinton. remember when a chunk of somalia moved to USA and took over Wisconsin and Columbus ohio areas? they didint' come here with $ but ended up in brand new aprtments. So did Iraq and Syria. now springfield and other areas are haitian. NYC is china, california is south america... as are chicago and nyc. When they show up, their kids get free school and medical.

You need to think about this.
1. Many American homeless are drug abusers who if you gave them a house, would trash it in one night.
2. There are millions of Illegal Immigrants in the US (plus the ones who have temporary guest status to apply for sanctuary). Most of them can't legally work, so unless you want giant mobs of starving zombies looting, something has to be done to help them.

Overall I think they should be deported, but that's not happening, so for public safety, I guess some compromises must be made (with our tax dollars, of course).

Example - I pick up leftover bagels on Friday night for our Saturday morning food pantry at our church. One of the people who pickup free food is a vet who- in turn- passes that on to vets in the place where HE volunteers his time. If I have stuff to give away- a small table, some brand new shoes I outgrew are a few examples, I give them to him and I know they will be used for a vet. Our church trustees had just clamped down on how we had to run the pantry: some pantry guest came in and used the washroom. No problem with that. Problem was, he trashed the bathroom, needed a plumber to come in fix things (after our guys couldn't- we always try first). That put the kibosh on people coming in the church- have to wait on the street in their cars (not in the parking lot) as before. Had to install hidden crash barriers outside the church. We try to help people, but now some of the funds that would have bought more food had to go to install protective devices, many of which I am not at liberty to divulge. Truly sad- many of the people who need things the most are losing out in the long run.

Four years ago, guests could come into the church basement, have a breakfast, wait for their (random) number to come up, and "shop" in our "store", that is, they could PICK what they wanted from the staple and fresh items we had on hand. Not any more. They wait in line in their cars. When we "open", they pull through, they a box of stuff, some staples/some fresh, random meat, random milk (if we are lucky enough to get some milk), random "treat" (example- a Whole Foods-- [an Amazon company]-- cake that got the icing messed up a bit can no longer be sold for $29.99, so we get it to be given away). $30 - poof! That's it. No visiting. No breakfast. No kidding!

As far as illegals, give them a free, one-way flight to wherever they want plus a parachute. buh-bye.

It's a shame that FEMA and other agencies value votes for illegals who break the law, rather than law-abiding citizens who get clobbered by a triple whammy hurricane and are willing to share what little they have left after most got swept away. There are two hotels less than 4 miles from my house that have been taken over by the state to house over a thousand illegal aliens., One of these hotels was a long time home for some military veterans. These people were told to find someplace else to live.

Where I live, the homeless population are (the far majority, not every single one, it's a generalization you liberal) a disgusting vile people. They do not want help. They are also encouraged by the liberal government, drug use calls don't do anything, transit police don't stop anyone, and they live in the street so they're never arrested. They all have food banks to eat at and blankets so they survive to do drugs and drink 24/7 until they pass out and one day die
