Utter nonsense. They are not suggesting that adults marry girls under age 14. And, if they are 14, they are not a child. Throughout history and still in many countries 13 and even younger is and has been a marriageable age. Religious scholars believe the Virgin Mary was 13, a common age for girls to marry at that time. Shakespeare's Juliet was 2 week shy of her 14th birthday when she was to be married and, at the time, people didn't think she was too young.

There's no age limit in the new Tennessee law. Where's their outrage against their own? There isn't any, because the whole point is to make people angry so they vote.

There are already laws banning people from grooming (GOP word of the week) children. The Don't Say Gay bill is intended to prevent teachers from helping vulnerable children and will probably result in suicides.

No. It's says not to talk to children about sex. There is a clause to protect kids from abuse. But can not groom children. Never says anything about gay in the bill

Not "gay", just "sexual orientation". And it's nothing to do with talking about sex (much as Republicans would like you to believe), it would stop a teacher mentioning a child's two dads, or two moms, unless they want to be sued. That marginalises the child.

(That's the Tennessee law, not the Florida Don't Say Gay law, but the first part counts for both).

Saying "some people love people who are the same sex as them, and that's OK", or "some families have two moms or two dads, or just one parent, and that's OK" isn't grooming, but it is curtailed by the Florida law.
