Yes, just like you said, that may happen.
But the child is an entirely different person. Their personality can be same or very different from their parents.

Then going by your logic, a psychopath's child must also be a one. That is not necessarily true right?

Most of them will, yes.
One of the most common are those who had their childhood "put on pause", whenever their issues peaked. ie. if something happened when they were 16, their mindset can get "stuck" at 16 y. o. thinking.

Abused children will typically have triggers that remind them of the event or put them in a fight or flight mode. It can be words, physical actions, visual, thoughts and dreams that trigger those reactions. When a abused child first comes home to someone who is caring for them, they try to create a good impression of themselves since if the other person feels safe and comfortable nothing will happen is the general thought, the longer they are with an unknown person, the more that person will experience the triggered reactions, it takes a long time to build trust with an abused child. Different abused children will use different mechanism to cope and use what has worked for them in the past. Some children might resist crying since crying was what triggered the abuse and this causes feelings to build up and then they blow up when its all too much for them to process and you have no idea what triggered it. Abused children usually do best with family who loves them like grandparents, aunts, uncles who they have a good relationship with. Abused children may also have a difficult time opening up to others about their feelings or thoughts.




In my studies I have found that in the psychology spectrums, abusee/abuser typically have multiple generations of abusers or people who were abused.



You find something similar if you read Exodus 34:7, you will find that multiple generations of families impact their future generations.

Abuse is a slavery to the person who was abused by the abuser who committed the sin. Our freedom and healing comes by seeking the Lord.

A time of healing and growth will have its greatest impact when the individual continues to grow in Christ just like a baby who needs milk until they have fully gown and matured in Christ.


For many people who go to counseling it takes 7 years, for others it takes longer and for others its less time.


One thing that remains consistent, God sets a time for peace in the midst of the storm to those who are willing to take him with them to pray and seek him for their needs.

Abusers carry traits like wolves in sheep’s clothing, waiting for that moment to pluck a wandering sheep out of the flock, they do things to get the sheep to wander off with them. Those who stay with the shepherd are safe. That one sheep who wanders off and gets injured needs time to heal with the shepherd who saves them.

I understand your point of view the only issue I see is that morality is perception based. What I mean is that it's based on the environment you were raised and based on what was considered acceptable at the time. Im with you and think there are things that are obvious and should be universal like murder or rape. What do we do about the things that are gray area. I don't have an opinion on because I don't drink or use marijuana but both were clearly illegal and immoral now legal and one possibly considered a medicine. I consider myself moral and at the same time realize how immoral I appear to someone from a foriegn country. I've been to a lot of places when I served in the Air Force so I've seen it first hand. My opinion is that abuse can lead to a personality issue especially if they don't have the tools to deal with what happened to them but it doesn't mean that all will have personality issues. People can sense how they are being approached and it's important to approach people the same and not prejudge people based on an experience they had in the past.

It can and a lot of times it does. We develop and learn a lot from 0 to 8. Also we devolve a lot on a socially, emotionally and mentally during those years. We also learn a lot from what we are shown rather then directly taught as kids. So we are around "morally corrupt parents" in our early years we can end up picking up and acting out the save behavior as our parents and the people we are around. Also things like metal and emotional coping skills are being developed as well. Events can cause them to not fully develop and that can create it's own issues as well. Something that I am very aware of.

The most morally corrupt are the narcissists and psychopaths, they are born that way, the antisocials no, they are made.

Living with a step-parent is the greatest single risk factor for child abuse.

The most common abuse is neglect children of every and any background can experience this neglect is betrayal and lying which are the most psychological damaging thing you can do to a child
