If people have to use their ID to sign up do you think there would be less trolling?

World of Warcraft tried to do something similar years ago with something called like “RealID” and one of their lead forum moderators tried to set an example of how good it would be. Ended up getting doxxed and has his home address, family names and information leaked, leading to death threats. In this day and aged putting your personal information out there is just asking for trouble.

People have been talking about that for the past 12 years and nothing is ever done I still think they’ll be a few here and there under blue and pink anonymous trying it

I'm not sure if it would really stop the trolls because people could still use fake IDs. There should be an ID verification tool to weed out the catfishes. If this verification tool was put in place then it would cut down the trolling.

Not necessarily. Trolling isn’t really illegal or anything. What would they have to fear other than getting banned from the site?
