In light of recent mass shootings, should we Ban Murder?

Several high profile mass shootings have occurred recently. In light of this, should the USA outlaw murder? It's clear this has to stop. I propose we do this by banning murder and putting a strict penalty on it. The Left already believes that if we ban firearms, criminals will refuse to break the law and acquire them or use them illegally.

So if we ban murder and put a harsh penalty on it, shouldn't that really cut down on these killings? Since criminals follow the law and won't commit felonies for fear of going to jail? We already made it a felony for criminals to own firearms and that clearly works very well.

lots of the people who do this are just simply sick in the head, it's not like making the penalty more severe will do all that much.

I confess your logic is solid. That should be the direct response, we all should react to gun tragedies.

The only reason, we react differently, is conditioning of our reflex, by repeated reading of facebook opinions, written be weak minds repeating the liberal agenda.

Now you were careful to make a real question and that is very impressive! So you deserve a serious answer. When france canceled its DEATH penalty, not only did murder increase, more murders total, but despite growing population, even the RATE per population increased. Those french morons should have immediately saw and re-instated the death penalty.

same in u. s. return death penalty for murders as a FEDERAL law not state by state... in all 50 states... AND not a long line called death row with an agonizing long wait to the doomed end, but a quick "execution of the punishment" no pun intended, , many per day so the wait is less than a month or week.

That said, i also accept your logic, the reply when people say "another gun death, they should ban guns" should be... what nobody said except you, "no, but they should make a law not to do mass shootings" which is more direct.
