What are guys thinking when they blurt out random things when they hardly know you?

There have been a couple times where guys would just say to me I love you when we hardly even knew each other or just met, and one time a guy said Let's just get married the first time we really hung out.

What do guys get out of saying these things? And for what reason?

Am I giving off some vibe, because I love you and Let's get married are pretty heavy things. Why say it to me when we just meet?

yeah I've had a few guys say stuff like that- of say I'm their best friend after 5 minutes of talking.

but I kinda like the silliness of that, the innocence of it, like when you were 6 and everyone was your friend.

my favorite is when guys opening line is the first thing that comes to their heads! this guy was standing next to me outside a club while I was waiting for my friend and wed been there a few minutes then out of no where he pointed out a bird on a roof to me. I think a lot of girls (some friends who I told included) thought it was really weird, but I thought it was adorable, he didn't know me but we so desperate to talk to me he'd talk to me about anything. and now I know he's a sweet guy, so I guess it worked.

Most people think that guys say these things just to get into girl's pants, but really most of the time, they're just going with the emotion that they feel. I myself, even though I am a girl, have told men that I love them just to fill the silence, then ten minutes later, I was like "Why in hell did I do that?!"

Your just a lovable girl & they can't help it. Or they could be joking around. I told a girl we should go elope but she knows a have no intention on ever getting married...to anyone. Did they sound serious when they said it cause if they were that's kinda messed up.
