Do you professional male and female chess players play against each other?

Yeah, but after doing more research, I learned that is rare. They don't normally play against each other. There are two different rankings systems. Here is the women's:

Yeah, definitely unlike Poker which invites mostly unisex tournaments with the exception of some female-only ones. I think it's because it's still very difficult for women to compete against the top male players. Yifan is an exceptional case.
