Why not? This girl I know had a small broken bone in her foot and her health insurance paid for the surgery—a little over $57,000–, and she didn’t have to put down a dime. Her health insurance cost her no more than $100 a month.. where is that money coming from?

So the government decides that insulin should only be $20. It’s currently selling for $40. So you tell the manufacturers that they will only get $20. At $20, insulin isn’t profitable. So it stops making as much insulin. Now you can’t get insulin when you need it.

The government decides doctors should only make $80,000 a year. now 6 years of school, $200,000 in college debt and liability insurance makes becoming a doctor an unprofitable profession. Fewer people study medicine and you have less doctors. Now you’re waiting 18 months for a checkup.

you can only pick 2. never 3. our current system is ideal as i can afford it, it doesn't cost me much and is super high quality. but it doesn't need to be for everyone. and if it was for everyone it would need to give up 1 of the other 2
