I already stated how I feel in another post:
Are you happy that Roe vs. Wade is being over-turned?
So I'm going to be copying what I said there:
I find it idiotic that people who claim to want freedom, free speech and to protect the Constitution, would then be "happy" once the government decides to take away freedom, free speech or a Constitutional right, just because it's some stupid BS that THEY don't like. That doesn't make you an advocate of freedom; that just makes you a tyrant that votes red. You can't claim to "hate the libtards" while celebrating shit like this, simply because you don't like it. I already wrote about this and how retarded the pro-life argument is, so I don't feel like saying much more than that.
Once again, morons are missing the mark in favor of partisan hot button topics that the people who control you, use to control you with. Whether you agree with abortion or not, no one who isn't an idiot should be celebrating decades-old laws being overturned just because they want the right to control other people, while doing nothing to actually HELP these people's lives or the babies they pretend to give a sh*t about.
Controlling people and restricting their free choices in society, while claiming to be the "good guys?" That's called oppression, and not in the far-left, progressive-sense of the word, either. That's just actual oppression... Like how the left has been doing to people for years with censorship and Cancel Culture and draconian woke rules and policies online and offline. Way to beat the Progressives at their own game by becoming exactly like them... Not that I'm surprised or anything. Typically, the more invested people tend to be with politics, the bigger the fools they are. Unless that's literally their job. Politics are depressing; I should know how depressing they are, as I have family who works in Washington.
I doubt this will actually really happen, but people on the right showing their true colors behind all the "freedom and liberty" BS, is good to know. You don't care about freedom at all; you just want to virtue signal in the name of "God," as opposed to doing in the name of being Woke.01 Reply

+1 yLong overdue and a correction of a grave evil. With the right wording the Supreme Court could even make a sound enough reason to prevent Democrat states from being allowed to have abortions. That wording can be along the lines of:
"The Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade due to it being both unconstitutional and in direct conflict with the Founding Fathers' belief that ALL citizens have the right to LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Founding Fathers made it abundantly clear that Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness CANNOT be taken away from any man without due process in a court of law. Since a defenseless baby cannot possibly commit a crime, it is deemed a violation of the 8th amendment, which bars cruel and unusual punishment, to take the life of a baby being formed. Life has scientifically been proven to begin at conception. At and anytime after conception, the killing of a baby is murder since the baby could not possibly attack anyone. Therefore, the conclusion of this court is that abortion is a violation of a baby's right to the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and is nothing less than murder and states are instructed to include abortion as a form of murder".00 Reply

I wish this country could focus on actually preserving life via social safety nets/policies helping existing people, instead of waging some bullshit crusade against the death of things that can't even think or feel. But I guess it's a lot easier to crusade for the rights of something uncomplicated and unable to say or do anything distasteful than it is to be on the side of actual, morally nuanced adults.

I guess we should figure out where women ever got the idea that the uterus in their bodies actually belongs to them.
It’s not theirs.
It belongs to government.
Females are only uterus holders, not uterus owners.
It’s about time somebody set that misconception straight.

Ignorant argument and completely misses the point. You say "your body your choice". What about the baby's body and choice AFTER YOUR CHOICE to spread your legs? Is it ok for you to make a choice but avoid the consequences at the expense of the death of someone innocent who never had the choice? Bullshit. You made the choice now live with it and let the baby have a shot at having a choice in life. Ladies, when you open your legs and a baby happens, it is no longer about you. You a grown ass woman who made a stupid choice. It is about the baby, not you. Ladies, news flash nobody really cares about you. You are not as important as you make yourselves out to be. The world does not revolve around you.

+1 yThat maybe all of this hate thrown at feminism was just nonsense.
Maybe in truth, there is no such thing as a Women's Movement. Even if there was once, it certainly does not exist any longer.
People need to read Samuel Alito's opinion. Because his opinion puts everything at risk. He does not even begin to question the morality of abortion. His point is that abortion has been unacceptable for a lot longer than it has been acceptable in this nation's history.
So that logic puts everything at risk. Gay rights, slavery, civil rights, lynching, etc.
Because a whole lot of disgusting, violent, and insane bullshit has been acceptable in this nation.
Wow. . . things went so bad, so fast.20 Reply
+1 yIf it goes ahead, it’s going to be like Ireland but on a massive scale.
The care system over there is fairly broken and needs more funding.
Teen pregnancies will increase.
the impact will be felt more by those in poverty, low paid jobs and lower part of middle class.
An example from Ireland where it was wrong to harm an unborn baby but perfectly fine for the church run homes to abuse, starve and torture the children in the care system.
Across the board in the US, if this goes ahead, then far more money needs to go into child support for families and for the care, foster care system and far better safety controls.10 Reply5.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No good will come from this if is overturned outright.
Actually, maybe SOME good will come out of it.
Women will become much more mobilized as voters and protestors.
You will start seeing shit that makes #MeToo look like nothing.
The GOP will be in trouble in swing states.
Too bad they didn't get this decided in an odd-numbered year when no Congressional or Presidential elections occur. Happening in 2022, there are a lot of women who would have voted GOP in the 2022 elections who will change their vote.00 Reply4.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It's a sign that the US supreme court has now been broken by McConnell and the Republican party.
Soon, five justices will get to overturn decades of precedent supported by 70% of the population in a 5-4 vote. All of them were nominated by presidents who lost the popular vote. None of them got 60 votes in the senate. Two of the justices voting to overturn appear to have lied under oath that their position was that Roe was settled law.
The precedent of Roe v Wade was set in a 7-2 vote by justices nominated one each by FDR, and JFK, two by Eisenhower, and four by Nixon, none of whom met opposition from more than a few senators in their confirmation. Hardly radical liberals. (The two dissents had been nominated by JFK and Nixon.)00 Reply3.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think it’s a good thing but I am pro life.
that being said those who are pro-death abortion isn’t going to be illegal throughout the United States all what the overturning the Rovy Wade does is it what’s the issue back in the hands of the states. Texas will outlaw abortion California will have legal abortion it’s not like abortion will be federally illegal00 Reply

I do think Republicans are plain losers who love focuses on other people personal lives than freaking improving their own damn lives
Winners care about themselves and losers care about other people personal lives00 Reply - 2.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 ycomplex actually. the supreme court had no right to pass this in the first place but on the other hand i don't want all abortion outlawed
i prefer a middle ground where abortions in high income areas are taxed to a brutal degree and in lower cost zipcodes we subsidize abortion00 Reply 318 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Stop assuming it's going to make abortions illegal. All the decision would do is RETURN the choice to make it legal to the states.
05 Reply- +1 y
Not if the nutcases have anything to say about it.
"A proposal that could be debated in the Legislature as soon as next week seeks to make it illegal to “aid or abet” abortions outlawed in Missouri, even if they are performed in other states."

You know a lot of women need abortions because they can't afford a child. What if they can't afford to travel, either?

... to kill babies.
- +1 y
@Agagagagaga They ain't babies, they're 'cells' barely formed yet.
Abortion has been going on in various forms for millennia.
Maybe in the later stages of pregnancy when the kid is formed, but most abortions happen way before that. - +1 y
Why don’t you go to McDonald’s and get you a waaah burger and French cries😂😂
- +1 y
@VikingWarLord if your blood and organs have to be sucked up with a vacuum tube I think it’s safe to say you’ve progressed as a life form beyond a few barely formed cells.
I’m pro-choice by the way. But let’s just call abortion what it is and cut the bullshit. It’s killing babies. - +1 y
@Agagagagaga According to your logic, when a woman has her period every month and bleeds everywhere, which needs to be sucked up by TAMPON then it was a life form beyond a few cells. GTFOH you dumb azz
- +1 y
@VikingWarLord a tampon does not require the assistance of a trained medical doctor to operate or medical crew to assist in case of an emergency.
Before you go calling someone a dumb ass, maybe take a look in the mirror first, reflect on your life, and then go find a dictionary. Dumb ASS.
Anything else you care to contribute? Don’t try to hard though, I imagine you’re prone to nose bleeds when you think too much. - +1 y
@VikingWarLord come on man that’s not cool I agree that was dumb as hell but c’mon that was a bit much
- +1 y
@Agagagagaga
well, there are no babies by that time.
not a complete one i think
so its not a killing.
