No, money cannot buy happiness. How do you buy happiness with let's say a very sick spouse or family member? Sure, it can buy the best treatment and medicine, but for some that is not enough.
I don't place a huge value on being super wealthy. My SO and I do quite well. We are by no means rich in the sense of the word. However, we don't find ourselves wanting for things we can't have.
I think financially stable is the best situation for most people. We live a comfortable life and there is nothing more I could want than that.

It can buy material things that can make life very enjoyable, but I think it’s hard to find fulfillment with finances. I think it’s more fulfilling to accomplish lifetime goals than it is to have money to spend but no purpose/passion.

It can only buy happiness short-term. I’d be happy with a truck, a new MacBook Pro, and a house. The first two will quickly be replaced by newer models and what good would a house do if you have no one to share it with?
