They call it DGB (Disinformation Governance Board). it's an institution meant to fight disinformation. in other words they wanna monopolize the control over what can and what can not be said in the media. do you even understand how fucking dangerous such an institution is? like remember how snowden is still in exile for showing that the CIA acted in violation of the law and the courts actually determined that he was right... now not only would people have to go to exile like him. what they say will just be filtered by framing what they said as "an attack to homeland security" and removing it.

With personally owned websites you can't prevent censorship, but people really shouldn't bother with twitter or other sources for anything other than entertainment media.

There is no way to enforce that without having the government edit sites and and dictate how sites are ran. Which is a worse scenario.

And removal of unwanted content should not always be viewed as censorship.

Removing illegal content is ok. Pushing down certain opinions while suppressing others makes you an editor of the overall visible context, which makes you a publisher.

I think it's totally different if you run a forum for certain topics. But not if you're providing a general communications platform.
