What are your thoughts about have one bathroom for all?

To clarify this question was in regard to a single multi-user bathroom for all genders. (I am not implying that I like or dislike this idea) I would like to also know from the women. If you are ok with a all sex use would you object to men using a urinal? And men would you feel using a urinal in this situation uncomfortable? There are open urinals in use in Europe!

So many fantastic replies from all of you and I agree with most. my preferred perfect situation is single use but multi sex use bathrooms where we feel the safest with privacy. And sadly, us guys are the main reason women feel unsafe! At least here in the USA we seem to have too many perverts. Stalls seem to not be private enough for even same sex to me. Not to mention the disgusting noises and smells! I would also feel so much better about a child using one of these.
I could do this all day. a simple search of " police find hidden camera in womens bathrooms" turns ups thousands of these stories of womens privacy being violated by perverts. all of the perpetrators of this crime are male who were able to install cameras in female only spaces when they were all ready restricted from being in there in the first place... Imagine if they had all the time in the world to do it and as technology keeps making these hings smaller the easier it is to do it.
I love the continued insistence this idea would be the fault of trans people. Trans people just want to use the bathrooms of their transitioned-to gender and piss like everyone else. If genderless bathrooms become a thing, it won't be because trans people asked for them - they didn't. It will be regressives only attitudes biting them in the ass again. Anti-trans people are responsible for all-gender bathrooms, not trans people. So many people have this issue ass-backwards.
Personally I don't care either way. I prefer segregated bathrooms but it's not an issue I'd lose any sleep over.
there was all gender bathrooms in my university library. no problem for me personally. and creeps and pervs won't be bothered by gendered bathrooms either. for example we had a scandal in my workplace, where someone installed a small camera that looked like a fire alarm, recording women doing toilet business...
in fact i actually think that an increase in "nonsexual" social interaction like this will actually reduce perversion. like if people just went all to one toilet, people wouldn't really develop perversions around that so much. i think perversion comes from supression. not from allowing such interactions.
I wouldn't be against it if both bathrooms were converted as such, or one specific one. Last time I went to a college campus there was a unisex and women's bathroom, so basically just give up the men's room, which is jacked up. Make a new one, or convert both. My experience with unisex bathrooms before then was at a couple gay clubs where both bathrooms were unisex. They didn't ID, the drinks were cheap, and the dancing was fantastic lol

I don't know what you two do when you go to the bathroom, but I just want to piss. If trans-specific bathrooms become a thing, it will be because right wingers have mandated it so, not because trans people have asked for them. You'd be blaming trans people for something anti-trans people were responsible for.
I personally don't give a fuck about geniune transgender people. The people I worry about is men pretending to be transgender to get into a bathroom with a woman in order to assault her or otherwise be creepy.
See, I don't feel the need to cater to the LGBT community in order to make them feel accepted. As long as you're a good person, I'll accept you for who you are. I don't like the extra priveleges to accomadate insecurity, but bathrooms would be to petty an issue to get annoyed over. Men preying on women would be my only concern.
I personally dont mind using a urinal in front of women but i also was a male stripper for years. I think some men have a hard time using urinals even in the men's room as evidenced by if i use one and say there are 4 open and a guy comes in and runs to the stall to pee. I also dont want women around because i do have some concern about women claiming harassment or exposure. Im not trying to cause a scene or get in trouble. I've personally seen some women complain about fake harassment issues so i am very aware about that stuff. When i would strip id get it in writing what they were expecting when they booked the party so they couldn't claim foul if the husband came home and now i was nude when they didn't want it or whatever. Thats basically what happened once that got me vigilant. Lol.

I really don't give a damn for me personally. If it's a single user bathroom then really, what's the point in separating them out anyway? I see no reason for anyone to wait if there's an open single user bathroom.
As far as the rest of this stuff goes, well--it's actually never been an issue if a girl goes into a men's room. No one is freaking out over that. It happened all the time WAY before all this trans stuff became a huge issue. Again, sometimes the line for the women's room is really long and the girls don't want to wait. And the guys never cared.
So REALLY, the issue is whether the ladies are alright with dudes using their bathrooms. That's usually been a bigger issue. There's honestly almost never a REASON for a man to use the women's rooms since we rarely have lines. So it's really only the sketchy dudes who want to go in there and now the trans dudes. My opinion is that if the (actual) ladies don't want that, they should speak up.
I think we should just keep it divided as we always have. There are boys/men (xy chromosome) in one bathroom and girls/women (xx chromosome) in one. If there were more than two genders of humans (home sapiens) I could see why it would be cool to just have one for all, but as we know gender is definitely by chromosomes and there are two possible: xx or xy
@GaGirls which of the scientific facts that I laid out does "everyone not think "? There's nothing to even debate !! Xx chromosomes and internal genitalia = female !! Xy chromosome and external genitalia =male. Those are the only two options as everyone "thinks" it's just a fact and something we learn in 4th grade. So we only need two bathrooms. The reason it's divided is became dudes (the xy chromosome) can pee in a urinal in 20 seconds so there's faster circulation in dudes' bathroom, but girls don't like to see that on the way to the stall. They could build a bathroom with only stalls thereby making it for both genders but the solution we already have works wonderfully. As far as I know the very very tiny tiny % of the population who has some form of mental disorder thinking they're something in between girl and boy have gotten along wonderfully so far right? So let's just keep things the way they are that's a proven universal solution
That's a wonderful point but that's the past, however accurate it is. You've given material facts. Not everyone thinks the same, for if they did we wouldn't have this problem. Resist it as we may, it will only progress the duration of the dilemma.

I oppose them. I strongly oppose allowing biological men (whether they have received "transition" treatment or not) who claim to be women to access female only facilities like bathrooms or locker rooms. And I strongly oppose allowing "trans"women to participate on women's athletics.

Does this mean the rr behind the changing rooms at the gym? can men walk through the changing rooms to get to them? I'd be okay with it. I wouldn't use a urinal in one, I don't like to use a urinal normally anyway though. It would be handy when I have a girl to have an anything bathroom instead of taking her into the men's. Or when my wife has a boy to not have to take him into the women's.
Ideally yeah sure, it would be nice to think that everyone was mature and cool enough to have everyone do thier business in the same public bathroom and leave.
But in a world like this... with all these weird and crazy mfs, hell no.

There should be a male bathroom and a female bathroom. If they feel a third is needed then make a third called unisex bathroom which is a private/handicap bathroom that has already existed for years… but i dont feel that he-she’s should invade the opposite sex’s bathroom just because they want to call themselves that sex
@crossdressingrihno I agree with you and feel the same. Even as a gay man using a male bathroom I avoid using the urinals. No I am not on the feminine side nor do I sit down.

what exactly are you asking? So you're saying there should be a private bathroom? If so, the rich already do it. they don't write their names on a single door. People with medium and low financial status use the same bathrooms and toilets. of course at different times.
One bathroom for all is fine, it’s like no one is sharing together thank god. But shared stalls is uncomfortable AF. I already don’t like a woman pooping next me 🤧. So I would be terrified if a guy was next to me 😨

yeah I don't know I've never heard of this problem. I have lots of friends, both boys and girls, and I have never heard of this bullshit before. I've never been sexually harassed or abused by a trans person... I have how ever been multiple times by hateful transphobic people.. so based off that track record... I think that cisgender men are a way bigger threat there.

I've done janitorial work in women's bathrooms in county jail and several churches. Despite having better decor and looking less warn overall I've found (unfortunately) that women's restrooms are actually regularly filthier overall.
That being said I would not enjoy it. Nothing sexy about a girl taking a massive shit in the stall next to you. at least to the majority.

An "all gender bathroom" is just a lady bathroom in the making. First, girls will say they're not fine with sharing bathrooms with men, and want them out, which won't be refused of course. Then, they'll say the same about the trans, and will ask them to go too.

We (guys) can pee anywhere (see the troughs at Fenway Park). The bathroom argument is completely political. The difference I see is this: Statistically, my son is far less likely to be accosted in a men's bathroom than one in which anyone who woke up feeling a certain way can use. Hate to say it, but some humans are deplorable.
It can exist sure, but if that's the only bathroom available, then that's a big fat NOPE. I value my privacy and don't feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with men.

They have that already where I live at the local swimming pool. Basically you have to shower with your swimming gear on, then go into a tiny wooden stall to change. There's been a few perverts caught taking pictures and stuff, over and under the stalls, kids were involved.
At least 90% of bathrooms are all gender. I have never seen a house that didn't have all gender bath rooms. Most very small business only have one bathroom; therefore, all gender.

For when there is the need for large bathrooms then have it gendered. For when there are two single bathrooms then whatever it shortens the wait anyway

I'm okay with the family shower rooms at the YMCA. Everyone has kids and its mostly Moms-Dads as opposed to singles, the toilets and shower stalls are also separate areas. Unisex anywhere else? mnaaah.
My first reaction would be Yuck! Lol But to be perfectly honest I don't know how to even answer the question.
