No meaning open for trans, etc. but rather just same spaces for everyone regardless of gender.
+1 yI've been saying for years that gender isn't the problem. It's the ridiculous lack of privacy. Making the stalls secure would do infinitely more to prevent assaults than putting a sign up that says "don't come in if you have these genitals." You don't need certain genitals to assault someome or make them uncomfortable. You just need to be able to get to them, like for instance through a really flimsy door that doesn't even lock half the time.
Just make good restrooms. Gender doesn't matter.

I think it is a good thing if it is done the right way.
Here in Sweden we have unisex bathrooms. Our bathrooms are fully covered from floor to celeing making no one be able to see in (not stalls). We can close and lock the door like a real bathroom at home.. only there is just a toilet. Outside everyone share zink.
I believe this way is safer because IF a transwoman/man or anyone tried to attack a woman other men are more likely to protect her than any other biologocal woman would.

+1 yyou know guys are going to get erections when they see me naked and that would be uncomfortable... i think even in the cave people days they had separate restrooms then all of a sudden a gay president comes along and changes things... a lot of you answered like sheep wake up your going to get raped more than ever.

+1 yA couple of places I worked had them. I think they're easier to locate, rather than having to search for specific restrooms to use. From my experience, they always seem cleaner too. A regular men's room is disgustingly filthy and always smells like feces and urine.
My only complaint is, it sucks when someone walks in on me from the opposite sex! lol. I gotta remember to lock the door!00 Reply

As an American I would say I dont agree, however I've been to Europe many times and one of the reasons that unisex and mixed gender bathrooms work so well in Europe is that their bathrooms are built in a way that's safer and more private. Specifically European bathroom stalls are way more private than in the US. In the US you can see other people's feet in bathroom stalls, you can see them through cracks in the door. Many urinals and sometimes even toilets have no dividers or anything to block a person trying to see your genitals.
In Europe it's not like that. Most of the bathrooms I've been in when in Europe have stalls that are completely divided by stone walls or at least walls that go down to the floor with no way to peek in and see who's doing what. That's much safer and doesn't make the idea of mixed gender as uncomfortable.10 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yNot okay with gender bathrooms. I'm not even okay with these people who were born a male dressing as a woman wanting to use the women's bathroom.
Before anyone comes at me. If the guy still has his male parts to me he is still a male and we women don't know if that person is just pretending to be a woman in the hope to go into the bathroom to put hidden cameras or to even attack someone and this has happened.

Why would a sign on a door stop someone from doing bad things?
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yit's a disaster waiting to happen... an invasion of privacy... i don't care if you're trans, this doesn't make it okay for you to go in girls bathrooms with male parts. any random guy can dress up as a girl, stay he's trans, go in girls bathroom, and do awful things. no thank you!

+1 yI think all bathrooms should be individual floor to ceiling stalls. With everything you need in it.
But I don't mind mixed gender bathrooms at all. If someone is going to assault someone in a bathroom a sign on the door isn't going to stop them.

Still it's better that each gender has their own bathrooms in public, more comfortable for men and more comfortable for women...
If a man wants to rape a woman, he will enter the female bathroom and does it, as you said, a sign won't stop a criminal from doing his terrible acts! - +1 y
@TonyMetal___86 like I said I'd prefer individual floor to ceiling stalls all gender. It saves space too.
- +1 y
I was thinking, why would a woman feel threaten by a man in such places?
- +1 y
@TonyMetal___86 I mean there is reasons that women feel afraid of men which are valid reasons. But trying to validate the reasoning by masking as a transgender issue is pretty fucked up. And again a predator or an attacker isn't going to be stopped by a sign on a door.
- +1 y
Agreed, anyways i personally believe that there's only 2 genders in the world, male and female ONLY! no matter what they call themselves...
I also believe that men should make women feel comfortable around them, it's all about the upbringing, when a man thinks about other women as his mother, sister or wife, he won't do anything wrong to her and in contrary, the woman will feel protected...
God created men and women to love each other and not to hurt each other or be affraid of each other... - +1 y
@TonyMetal___86 male and female are sexes but okay 👍

+1 yI used them a few times when I was in the school student centre and upstairs because the divided gender washrooms were downstairs and I hated the all gender washrooms. They were always less clean then the same gender washrooms except on the rare occasion where a female would pee on the toilet seat.
00 Reply 12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Not really too fussed myself.
I couldn't give two fucks if it's the ugliest tranny or the dad next door, watching me take a shit. But it's not right for those who are more sensitive, and want privacy.
You get guys who are not able to use a toilet with another guy in the adjacent stall. Imagine the poor bastards if there knowingly is a woman in there!
Likewise, woman can be nervous around women in the toilet.

+1 ybad for women. they are getting "the short end of the stick" because of men's bad aim, all to apease a small group that is confused whom they are.
30 Reply I'm ok with them. The restroom on my floor in college was coed so in the mornings there were many males and females taking showers and getting ready for classes. Not a big deal.
23 ReplyI'm okay with it if there are also gender-specific bathrooms with them, for those people who aren't comfortable sharing a bathroom with someone of the opposite sex, and hopefully for children as well.

10 ReplyHate them. A little girl should not be in the same bathroom and a 40 something year old man

+1 yIf it’s an individual restroom fine… bathrooms with stalls or urinals or locker rooms, should still be just one gender or the other in my opinion
00 Replycan't see it happening but in theory I do not see anything wrong with it. We all know what other genders bodies look like and we all have to pee and poop. But as I said it will not happen soon
10 ReplyI hate them. Why should little girls be exposed to men showing their dicks in the restroom?
31 ReplyUncomfortable. I lived in a dorm type housing with mixed bath for guys/girls. I had to move out after a week because of that.

I believe that only a married couple can share a bathroom and everything else cause they are simply married but random people or anyone else should have their private areas and not a mixed gender places!

+1 yRestrooms I don’t really care as long as you have a private stall or private room but I don’t want to share a locker room or get undressed with someone with a penis.
05 Reply- +1 y
What do you mean by someone with a penis? You're also a SOMEONE with a vagina!
Personally i am not comfortable around men and women BOTH! - +1 y
You’re right I am someone with a vagina. And by someone with a penis I mean a man. I don’t want to get undressed in a locker room around another man but I personally don’t care to do so In front of a female. You have a right to not feel comfortable to do so around both male and female. I’d advice you to not enter a locker room where people are getting dressed.
- +1 y
I don't, i change my clothes only in a private area where i can be comfortable by myself, i believe that only a married couple can grt undressed in front of each other and feel comfortable and happy about it but other than that, nope!
You shouldn't be even naked around guys and that's the norm, you're a girl, i believe that the only man that you will get undressed in front of him will be your husband or someone who will become your future husband... - +1 y
I get undressed I front of my husband but I’m ok with also getting undressed in front of female friends because they aren’t weird about it and we aren’t checking each other out. Some locker rooms will allow trans people in with women and I think most of us feel more comfortable in our own space.
- +1 y
I don't think that it's wrong to ger undressed in front of your own gender if you had too but sometimes you might feel uncomfortable...
The only person whom you can normally undress in front of is your spouse because after marriage, god makes you both as one and also a family, in contrary, you'd love it to get undressed in front of your spouse 😊
1.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. A lot of nudist clubs have fully enclosed bathroom stalls with full doors so if that would get carried over to the outside world, I wouldn't have a problem.
Locker rooms would be more iffy since a lot of people are extremely prudish.

I will say a big problem will be guys peeing on the toilet seat.

+1 yI am not used to them yet. I was using a stall in a men's restroom and a "woman" wearing a skirt came next to me, pulled up her skirt, and urinated just like i was (she/he had a penis)
