The jobs some of you listed have already been filled at low wages by all the other immigrants that came before them. Are they going to take other immigrants jobs by taking a lower wage?

There are hundreds of thousands of jobs already being done by undocumented immigrants in restaurants, the building trades, on farms, in food processing plants, etc. Without them crops would rot in the fields.

Do I think the USA has hundreds of thousands of jobs open? Yes, I do. We can either accept that these jobs will be performed by immigrants, or we can pay much higher prices for those products. If farmers had to pay a wage that would attract US residents, US farm produce would be considerably more expensive than imported products. What would you do next? Ban the importation of foreign produce? Then some American families will no longer be able to afford fresh fruits and vegetables.

It's the same with other work done by immigrants. Wages would have to be higher to attract American workers. Costs and prices would increase and some Americans could no longer afford to dine out.

The fault isn't with the immigrants, it's with employers who exploit them and with Americans who want cheap restaurant bills. You'll whinge their taking peoples jobs but you won't tolerate higher prices if companies employ people on a decent wage.
