in my opinion,
Faithful, hopeful or having blind trust in the democracy is very dangerous. There are very little natural tendencies involved in democracy. It's mainly a rational system built on diverse competence and diplomacy. Humans tends to want to simplify and lean more on intuition but it's not sustainable.
Don't get me wrong, intuition is very useful in the right degree especially with human communication and reading between the lines. But it must be controled.
So, no. Not faithful.
Democracy is about having accountability, stay informed with varified sources of politically neutral information (accurate at the very least), be willing to listen and be heard. To be able to have a rational conversation and to build systems for how society should organize itself to balance between functionality, safety and freedom.
It's about voting. Always vote on the party that bring up the points that you think would help society as a whole. Don't bother with voting on the lesser evil if you don't agree with it. And even if you think there's no point to voting because corruption or you just being 1 person.. vote anyway, because every vote counts toward something and if the system works then you've done something if it don't then you've lost nothing.
Look into how the party is going to achieve it's goals. It's key.
And always assume that radical changes in the system is not going to show entierly until say 50 years later when all the new loopholes have been exploited in all the wrong ways and the next generation is coming up with their new perspective.
It's better to go slow and calculate how to move forward carefully and with a plan.
Not faithful at all. Although it's called 'biggest democracy' but it is actually biggest joke on democracy.
Ah US too?
No, I'm talking about India.
My apologies, I’m not too caught up on India’s politics because of how things are in the US atm.
Understandable. India is constantly dropping down on world press freedom index, World happiness index and rising unemployment. The democratic situation however, is very concerning as well.
I’m not a patriot, but I will criticize the government. I like the heritage and culture of my country, not the government or the people.
I have some very unpopular opinions. We currently have a deceptive (cowardly) manipulator as our prime minister; and no, I do not like him. On the contrary, I despise him with a burning passion.
Not very faithful, my country is lead by coward so if we were invaded like Ukraine I'm sure they would just sell out the countries
Where exactly do you live?
Why does he keep getting elected? I haven’t heard good thing about him at all.
Cause people are afraid of losing democracy if they vote for LePen (she quite famous for liking Putin) so obviously this day and age it's not seen as well though more and more people vote for her but not enough, there's around 30 percent of people who like communism, 30 % other who like Far right LePen and another 30 % percent who like Macron and some like environment stuff or others political movement but the big three is far left communism, far right and center Macron and some people are afraid of extreme movement so they end up voting for Macron (cause the small party they liked didn't have enough point ).
Why do I feel war is on the horizon again in Western Europe? It just doesn’t seem like too many countries around the western world are doing well rn
I think third world war is definitely coming for sure, were going to be in some rough years. We should have accepted Ukraine in Otan back in 2008 but apparently it's France and Germany who refused (which lead me to think they would be the first two country who go collaborating with the enemy since they're so much coward).
@WhiteBoyChill False there's also lots of young people who voted for Macron (the liberal, gay, etc... kind). Those who voted Macron are old people and very young one (under 24) with the rich no matter the age. All the others voted Le Pen

The United States is on the edge of a knife. This may not end well.
What will happen in your opinion?
Unless folks wake up. We will cease to have open and free elections. There can be no doubt as to where that will lead.
Scary, who’s going to control the nukes?
A dictator. Who else?
It was more of a rhetorical question lol
The USA is a constitutional federal republic not a democracy. Bad actors have ruined the integrity of the election process, but I have faith in the rule of law and the chain of command. Justice will be done.
I'm concerned more with the income inequality in our country the the current faith in our democracy. As long as people have faith in the possibility of being able to better their stead their will be faith in our democracy. Not that I'm saying we're any where near it. But when people lose faith in future that's when revolution occur.
I live in a representative democracy full of ancient people who are bought by corporations. And the military gets a huge chunk. So maybe a military dictatorship dressed up as a representative republic that is also an oligarchy
We already had a stolen election and it looks like free speech will be outlawed. I know the next election will be stolen too. It is all over for democracy.
Democracy is an unfaithful bitch that relies on it's people being faithful to it.
The United States is NOT a Democracy. The United States is a Constitutional Republic. Our founding fathers hated the thought of a Democracy and did everything they could to prevent it.
Considering the US is not a democracy.. I'd say not at all. It's a representative republic.
Every government on earth is corrupt
It's a corporation not a democracy.
Faithful but pretty pissed off at it.
Faithful how? Am I a criminal? No.
America is not a democracy
I live in a REPUBLIC
The US is a Republic
Faithful
