Not any time soon. Even without taking economic factors into account, the US government and some of its corporate cohorts such as Black Rock are actively pushing to make middle and lower class home ownership harder and harder in an effort to create a permanent renter class of citizen. There's basically a 0% chance of the situation improving as long as that agenda is being pursued.

I actually DO think they have a chance at going down. The reason is, that in inflation has been so bad lately, that a lot of people who are "on the fence" about being able to afford a house, will not be able to, because everything else is so expensive. So that means fewer people buying, which leads to prices going down. Of course no one has a crystal ball though!

Problem is the the pension companies and other wealthy investors will buy up the fire sale prices and it'll climb right back up and probably beyond the high figures

Nope. Property prices are going crazy over here, and I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to afford one 😅

Not in the UK, there will be areas that get slapped with negative equity for a bit, however investment in bricks and mortar is a good choice.

A lot depends on when and where you get on the ladder as to impact on any price drop.

The rate that prices are going up will stabilize but it would be disasterous if price fell. That's what happened in 2004 and caused the financial collapse and mass foreclosures.

In absolute value maybe. But today's dollar is worth about 5% of what it was in 1970, so a $50,000 1970 house will not be with $50,000 again unless there is a financial collapse.

It's sad but not anytime soon unless you can get a house from someone that just wants to transfer the deed into someone's name cause they don't want the house but you got to be careful with that too

Yes, a little maybe. Especially as interest rates continue to rise.

Yes it will. They are looking for the bubble to bust in late fall or early January. Don't buy yet. What's going on that if you now you got this super high price. When this pops all you have is a high property tax out of sight and no one will buy

I’m looking to sell my house for a good profit and to buy a good affordable house 20 minutes away from here

Nope but don't worry soon home ownership will be banned in an attempt to install a one world currency/social credit system with everyone in public being equal and the elites hiding away living it up

If you live in California - probably not.

Yeah. Most industry experts think it’s a bubble that will pop. Hopefully not as bad as 2008.

Yes of course, they're going to crash in the next year or two. Be ready to grab one then.

As long as corporations like Blackrock remain, it won't.
