Sen. Rand Paul blocked 56 trillion dollars from going to Ukraine. Did he do the right thing?

I very infrequently agree with Rand Paul, but in this case, I think he was right. The money was earmarked for US weapons manufacturers who might or might not have provided many overpriced weapons, but would have definitely pocketed the money as they always do.

Yes , I understand generosity, but  priorities & responsibilities are important . The Union has serious problems  (historic inflation; grocery-shortages that are literal life-&-death situations for babies; longstanding supply-chain issues; the very real threat of already being recession recession, which we'll only be able to truly & definitively confirm/deny 3months from now; spikes in crime-rates, etc.),  but their focus is OUTSIDE their jurisdiction‽  If they're so concerned with Ukraine, they should resign from the United States Congress, emigrate to Ukraine, earn citizenship, and and run for Kiev's Верхо́вна Ра́да (" Verkhovna Rada "; "ver-KHOV-nah RAH-dah"; 「Supreme Council」). And for the war-addicted chicken-hawks in Congress pushing the U. S. into war with a nuclear-armed nation, they should also emigrate and take responsibility: Don camouflage, pick-up weapons, and lead the charge like leaders of old, instead of sitting in air-conditioned offices safely an ocean away, ordering others to die for their bloody wet-dream. (Actually, both Pres.'s Putin & Zelenskyy should also bravely face each other in the ring in a televised match to settle this, 1 on 1, instead of ordering people who never know each other to kill each other for wearing the wrong uniform.) But, back to the topic. WHO voted for them‽ WHOSE hard-earned money will they be spending, and (for inevitable the rest of the expenses beyond collected revenue) under WHOSE name will debts be made? HOW MUCH MORE/LESS has been spent on their pressing issues, afflicting them and their daily lives? And what would they as employers do if they catch their employees publicy focusing their paid work-hours benefiting another employer, instead of doing their job and benefiting their own employer?

Yes the prolonging of the war just ensures no grain production in the region for starters. Ukraine isn't our problem. They had every chance to sign on with NATO or become an official ally to the USA. Yet even weeks into the invasion the Ukranian PM said he wanted to "negotiate terms" for signing on with NATO. Well NO if you are facing an invasion and can't win and need help you don't "negotiate" you take the f*cking deal presented to you if you want to survive. Ukraine is just one big giant pain in the ass and Zelenskyy didn't care about starting a World War as long as he gets to stay in power in Ukraine. He's actually quite the selfish prick tbh. American tax dollars should be used 100% for the USA only and not a penny to a single other nation unless they are a military asset and ONLY if they are a military asset and ONLY if we have a treaty and ONLY if they provide things in return.

a big part of why America doesn't have more social programs to benefit it's own people. is due to them sending money tons of money over seas yearly. also the fact that they spend roughly 10x more on their military to protect other countries. which many of those countries are required to pay America a fee for protection but hardly any do.

Lol the current retard administration can't help Americans in this sky rocket high inflafion prices but we sure as hell know we can send billions to Ukraine if we wanted. Back then they hid this "Proxy" war funding and then used drugs and weapon sales to pay for it to keep Russia out. Now today we openly throw money to Ukraine as if it's our war.
