For one thing the purpose of execution is to remove a truly lost cause from society, not to exact revenge - that bloodlust is exactly the sort of attitude were trying to remove from society by executing them. A painless and clean execution is just fine so long as they die quickly.

However, it is also the case that guilt simply can't be proven with absolute certainty. If even one innocent person is put to death then everone who allowed it to happen is a murderer. That includes every taxpayer that paid for it, every voter who voted for it, and every able body that didn't protest against it. And since everyone who allowed it to happen is now a killer then, by their own logic, they must also now be put to death. We run out of people real fast this way...

The painless death is to ensure we aren't killing him because of our bloodlust, as that would make us the same as him. He could fall in a wood chipper for all I care, but we can't push him into one or we are also following our baser instincts, just as he did.

And there is no "translation." I mean it literally. There have been lots of people executed and then later DNA evidence found they had nothing to do with the crime. It is little more than a modern lynch mob.

Ultimately, it is the mark of a civilized species that we do not engage in violence except in self defense. And when someone is in custody they no longer pose a danger to society, thus no violence visited on them can be in self defense. It is purely bloodlust. Some may even argue that it's worth it to the families victims if the murderer is left alive long enough to develop remorse.

Not just Put in prison forever but a better and more secured prison. These prisons need to feel more like Tyranny. A technological prison one with Instead of metal handcuffs its Technology Handcuffs with Big strong Robots to Punish Inmates for Disobeying orders. Where robots don’t see you a Human and won’t Treat you as such. Where Inmates learn Respect and are Taught what happens when you defy Robotic Morality. No more will Inmates Think there tough. No more confidence criminals. If your a criminal Your gonna see the error of your ways and Know that every bad thing one has one’s fault.
Inmates will not be happy they will eventually Not even have the ability to be angry and wanting to Hurt people will become a thing of the past.
