Not really, but kind of: my last girlfriend and I were a lousy match, and we both knew it. One day, an argument exploded into a knock-down fight. but still a verbal one- until she drew back her hand and tried to slap me. I grabbed her wrist and held it sheady, looking her VERY seriously square in the eye, and said "No. No violence.". If she'd backed down and apologized right then, it might saved things- then again, it might not've. Instead, she tried to hit me with her other hand.

The relationship died then and there.

I was dating a girl who used to abuse me. She was abused as a kid and sometimes she would get angry and she used to say terrible things to me and a few times she would physically assault me. Mostly she did this whan she was drunk.
