Not just cars, but SOMETHING other than watching a video screen. It can be hiking, playing sports, woodworking, gardening, metal fabrication, biking, raising animals... doesn't matter, just get them (boys and girls) away from the video screens.
When kids today reach their late teens, almost none of them know how to do anything, and most of them don't understand what responsibility means. They have ZERO job skills (other than YouTube searches and making TikTok videos). Requiring them to do any level of physical labor is like pulling teeth.
My point is get kids DOING things. If they're interested in cars, then so be it. But it doesn't necessarily have to be something mechanical.
