The guy I’m dating likes to race his car recreationally, and I don’t like it, but he says he won’t stop?

This is a very early relationship, and he’s extremely into his car and racing. He’s 22. Hypothetically, I asked what would happen if kids came into the picture. He said he’d love to teach them about cars. I said teach yes but they will not race.
What’s the point? Seriously, what’s the point of risking your life for a hobby? I feel like I’ll have to end this relationship before it even starts.
