Something many dont understand is that cops are NOT inclined to put their lies on the line for you. Many people consistently get this wrong. There is nothing stating an officer MUST go into danger to save another per se. It's good if they do but they don't have to. Personally? I've never given into relying on police. As police currently stand they are more of a clean up crew. They often get to the scene WAY too late and the average response time is 22 minutes. Perfect for getting there in time to etch you out in chalk if you were trying to rely on them as you first means of defense. We need to change the way officer operate. I would argue many are SEVERELY undertrained AND under equipped to deal with something like a mass shooter. This could be mitigated if officers spent more time on the run and guns, got grade 4 body armor, all had an M4 Carbine in the back cruiser with at least 2 of 4-5 magazines having steel core, armor piercing rounds, red dots, flashbang grenades, and other devices to give them an edge in situations like this. I know of 3 botched shootings this year that on the cops end got someone innocent killed. All because they couldnt be bothered to remember the simple rules of gun safety which everyone using a gun should always know!

What do you suggest we do not have Police? Tell me then why we should give up guns. If we don’t have fleas and that we can rely on and we don’t have guns who the fuck is going to protect us from somebody who got their gun illegally and goes and choose a school. Gun confiscation will just cause more gun violence and defunding the police would just lead to more people getting killed. by the way it was a member is I. C. We don't know for sure what actually happened- I'd wait for a written report from a complete investigation before assuming what happened. That said, you do bring up a very good question, and there are others as well.
