Some kids want to kill, my take is parents have a lot to do. If they are constantly on their phones, or for instant this kid got bullied in school. He has a lot of resentment, parents should be able to talk to their kids before they start school so that if they ever have to face any kind of bullying they know how to deal with this. They need to be able to speak up and be heard and maybe this kid did not have that growing up. Maybe all he did was play games (shooting games) who knows the whole story but there is a reason why he did this and it's heartbreaking

An American citizen age 18 or older does not need to have a valid justification to possess firearms. If that is a requirement, then the right to bear arms will quickly become meaningless.

There's not one. Fun fact: did you know that the first two child bodies that the coroner examined in Uvalde had NO head? This is why DNA samples had to be taken from parents to determine identity before giving the bad news to a wrong person. These are weapons that spit out high velocity rounds that tumble on contact doing incredible amounts of destruction to soft tissue, hitting the bone and rolling up along it until it finds a way out or runs out of energy. Personally I can't see why anyone would want to use something like this for hunting... you'll tear the animal to pieces and mess up any food value. 18 year olds join the military and they let 'em use those in there, so why not you ask? Guarantee you the military isn't gonna bring you in, hand you a destructive tool like this and a bunch of rounds and smile and tell you to have at it... That weapon is gonna be under VERY tight control.
I know what I was like at 18... volatile... bad combination. I just don't get why there is absolutely NO willingness to compromise even an inch. Look at the statistics on these shootings and add up the ones relevant to making junior wait till he's 21... or 25 before being allowed to buy his mass murder toy. You would think that ONE dead school kid would be enough to move the needle.

Ar-15 is not as demonized as media make it sound. A lot of people using those to hunt small deer and hogs, also a lot of predators. Standart 5.56 works with 223 ammo like gritrsports. com/.../ pretty well, and that round had been used for decades as a primary hunting round.
