Can America really not do any better when come to school shootings?

The US is above average in gun crime rate when compared to all other countries. And for total school shootings we have 288 from January 2009 to may 2018. The next highest was Mexico with only 8.

Yet I keep hearing that "gun law don't stop gun violence","guns don't kill people, people kill people", " criminals don't care about the laws"

They could start by not being unfair in schools with discipline (they discipline boys harsher for the same rule broken).
They could also stop teaching kids to dislike boys and stop teaching that males are bad and no good.
Then schools could stop supporting and encouraging racism against Whites.

Notice how the group that is frequently mistreated in schools is often becoming the ones to do the school shootings? (not all the time, but the majority)

Schools should stop with unfair treatment, racism, and sexism and then maybe that could decrease the number of shootings.

Another thing they could do is educate kids on the dangers of guns. Schools ban even squirt guns and think kids won't realize guns exist even though they are shown them for history/social studies. Plus depending on the neighborhood where they grow up, they hear guns being fired in the streets.

As far as so many "school shootings" are concerned. That number is greatly exaggerated. If school is out and someone shoots somebody on the street or sidewalk in front of a school, even during the weekend or while school is out for vacation, they often still count it as a "school shooting" to mislead people.

We have laws against drugs, yet more people are dying from overdose than guns. Why? It's not hard to get illegal drugs, nor is it hard to get illegal guns. Come up with a plan to remove guns from the hands of criminals, and I'll listen to you, otherwise you're just spouting lazy, feel good nonsense.

Also even though a lot of gun crime is gone by illegal or ghost guns the majority of mass shooting are committed with legal guns. Also if remove access to gun from anyone that was part of a domestic dispute the would eliminate 60% of gun violence.

People convicted of domestic violence, even if it's just a misdemeanor, can't legally purchase a firearm. It's federal law. And what are you going on about people making drugs? Most of the people overdosing on drugs are not making them. They're buying them, just like you can go buy an illegal gun. So again, tell me how you take guns out f the hands of criminals.

We are talk about about school shooting which the majority are performed legally purchased gun not legal guns. So you are arguing the if the 18 year old kid would know where to purchase a blackmailed if the legal gun store he walk into on his birthday told he need to have a permit or firearm license before they could sell him a gun.

I said domestic dispute, and also remove access, mean if the cops because of argument between domestic partners you can't buy and you have any gun own taken. The majority of domestic violence see a court because charges are never pressed.

Are you arguing these kids that shooting up school know how to buy black market guns? We not taking about gangbanger or harden criminals or the mafia. These kids and average people were taking about.

Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. I grew up in a pretty rough neighborhood. I have been in that neighborhood and had a guy, that was clearly strung out, approach me and try to sell me bootleg dvds and a gun. It's not hard to find a gun on the streets. These kids don't live in a bubble. The kid in Texas passed a background check. Why? Because nobody did anything about the disturbing behavior he exhibited. People that want to kill people will kill people. How about we stop ignoring the signs that are there when someone is a danger to society.

So you say we just accept everytime someone legally purchases a gun than kills 20+ kid in a elementary school because we couldn't even pervent it if we tried.
There is nothing can do to protect children's lifes and we shouldn't even try.

There are things we can do. Secure schools, enforce the laws that are already in place, and get mental health services to the people that need it. Also, we can stop raising kids that have no coping skills and know how to handle life. Wouldn't it be better to keep kids from wanting to kill in the first place, rather than focusing on one tool they may use?

Just like the drug problem. The answer is not more laws, it's effective treatment and prevention.

Won't we need legislation to effectively pull in to place the services provided the treatment and prevention. Also wouldn't some of the prevention be removing access to gun for people that are at high risk causing a school shooting.
