Do you think the reason I have become a lot less shy is because I got a job in which I can't be that shy?

I became a security guard three years ago. Prior to getting that job, I was SUPER SHY. After I became a security guard I had no choice but to open up a lot. As a result, I got used to not being so shy and I opened up up a lot everywhere. On duty and off duty I started being more of a social butterfly and it is still that way now. I am still shy but not to the extreme like before.
