Is being shy a turn off?

Little story about me; I am a very shy person mostly socially awkward. But I get comfortable and easy going once I get to know someone. I don't like to initiate conversations if the other doesn't take the lead. On social platforms I rarely post myself, it isn't because I am insecure or fear judgements but that's the way I am. I have many female friends and hardly get comfortable with male friends and that doesn't mean I am into women anything. I am not someone who follows trends, I present myself according to my comfort. Does this kind of a woman turns off guys?

I hope not, because you described me to a T. I struggle in social situations and am sure guys don’t notice me because I’m too timid socially. I just hope the right guy sees beyond the protective shell I keep myself in to see that I’m really a good person that is worth getting to know.

Being shy is not productive for society or life on this earth. It is better if you ‘fake it’ till you become it. By being shy you will lose out on many opportunities. No one is saying to be the boisterous extrovert but speak up when necessary and practice confidence. Try this for one month and see!
