A lot of social and psychologic reasons. Though I never heard a guy say as his reason was because "I don't like mondays" now she was interesting. Tbf female killers will always be more interesting because of such fewer they are. But also I feel like more of them get away with it due to such social perspectives or get a guy to do it for them. There was a woman on a documentary who literally got to old and gray before they realised she had dead bodies in her back garden, and that she's been killing since she was prostitute in her much early life it's only suspected how many she killed of course not many real confirmations.

Well gun ownership is pretty even when it comes to handguns, men 73% to women 71%. But it's vastly different when it comes to assault weapons.
I think the data makes it pretty clear that women by a handgun for protection while men are more likely to view a gun as an extension of himself (I don't think I have to explain what I'm implying).
As far as responsible gun ownership vs. The whackjobs that shoot up a school, theater, mall, etc. Bill Maher explain this pretty we more than one time.
