Why do you think like 99 percent of mass shooters in the USA are males?

Males are the doers of society.

Pretty much everything that runs society is built by men. Every street, every house, building, skyscraper, bridge, tunnel, damn, every electrical grid, every water system, all welding, plumbing, HVAC, all farming and crop growth, mechanical inventions, carpentry... etc.

Men and women both attempt suicide but men usually are the ones who die more than women. Men take lethal means to commit suicide. Women more often take pills and it is a "cry for help".

Men and women are different.

Back to the subject itself. Guns have been around for centuries. What has changed in the last 30 years? The skyrocketing of broken families, kids growing up with no dad in the home to discipling them and teach them. The more families fall apart the more messed up kids it produces.

Women have a stronger sense of balance and moderation and they stifle their anger while men are more proactive about exerting their frustrations over others because they are raised with fewer accountability partners when they reach adult age.

Because there is so much media out there today that glorifies violence as a way of expressing your hatred for other people. Most movies portray male shooters/killers as heroes as do most video games. The message is, as a last resort you kill those that either deserve it because they wronged you or it's your only viable option.

So these violent tendencies are hit home at an early stage in their life. It's like mental training for what's to come. A lot of mass shooters were known to partake in these outlets and mimic these types of situations in real life. Some even posted things on-line beforehand. They often can't differentiate between reality and movies/games.

@strateguy632 exactly, women tend to watch less violent shows/video games and have less tendencies. That is why there are fewer women mass shooters.

Because are more likely to be have dysfunction when it comes to forming relationships. Guys are more likely to be alone and therefore might also be apathetic to emotional bonding so there are guys that don´t care about anyone else than themselves.

The other reason is that guys generally more violent and aggressive than women so they are more likely to overdo any form of aggression.

Yes my bad. I accidentally missed a word. I didn´t mean to say that guys are more violent they are more Likely to be violent and aggressive. So when you read the sentence with "the other reason..." add are more likely after guys in your mind. Because I´m neither that aggressive to use violence on other people.

Because men are problem-solvers. When they see people as a problem, the application of violence is a potential solution to that problem. People are a lot less problematic when they're dead.
Even if women end up hating humanity for one reason or other, their thought process doesn't tend to take the next step towards "solving the problem". They're more likely to spend their time considering how they feel about it.

I think there are two reasons but probably more. Most school fights, actual fist fights are men. We don't stab each other behind the back, we fight it out, literally. Another one is that those guys bottled up every emotion and lost control + enough crazy to actually commit that crime.

Two reasons. First, men have always been more prone to violence and risk taking. Those traits were very important to the survival of a man, his family and his community thousands of years ago, and the same genes persist today.

And second, men in America are increasingly angry and disenfranchized, a very dangerous combination. Until we as a society face the underlying issues causing that, things will only continue to get worse.

Probably because genetically men are more likely to act out violently. But that no excuse for such behavior one needs to learn self control an we need much better mental health in the US

because physical violence is a male specialty. Men historically do the war making and if it comes to life or death situations a male will more likely have that extra ability.

Mass shootings are explosions of physical aggression. Women tend not to have much physical aggression in them.

Men are naturally more violent. Social and cultural norms are also different for males and females. A male is less likely to seek or get help for his problems.
