From your question, I assume you're black or brown. I'm a white guy. Racism is a difficult problem. I used to believe I see people through color-blind eyes. Over time, I've learned that I'm not as good as I thought. Many of us are unintentionally racist. There are so many racist elements built into American culture. Is it possible to grow up here and not have those things influence our thinking and behavior? I don't think so. My point is, no, you are not wasting your time. You are an important part of a community. If you opt out, we'll always be a bunch of racist white people. Many of us will continue to be well intentioned. But, still, racist.

I stopped trying for a long time. I realized that they are racist deep inside and will look at your and your ideas as worthless hearing them out and proceed to think they are the judge that decides what is better and naturally they will think their ideas and ways are better. Now I just go back to our history and don’t forget who are really strong people and who have always been a piece of 💩

I’m not a person of colour, but I am a women and obviously I can’t fully understand what ur going through, but I know how it feels when it seems like everyone around u are prejudice. Sometimes it seems all men actually do fully hate us to the core and that there are no good ones out there. And there are a lot of sexists just like how there are racists, which sadly means that if u notice someone seems to not see u as an equal you should let them go, because chances are they don’t and you deserve better.

I don't know what you mean by "white peoples world", that doesn't make any sense to me. That aside I'm sure there are some people who hide it, or are even unaware they're acting a certain way. Best you can do is avoid the people you get that vibe from.

As a brown female who has lived both in places with mostly colored people and in places with mostly white people, you're definitely thinking about it harder than most white people ever do. Most people aren't interested in color.
