Why certain people do not believe in Covid19?

Question

Recently I've read a lot of opinions not only on this site of people who argue covid 19 doesn't exist. Please give respectful opinions and try to be as objective as you can. No conspiracy theories please

Cynicism, mostly- but that cynicism was EARNED. The emergence of a new and extremely contagious disease is very much a cause for concern, and governments can be forgiven for going overboard on containment measures when we didn't know how. ad it would be. But as days became weeks became months, and itformation started pouring out saying it wasn't nearly as bad as initially feared, the reaction wasn't relief, but more panic.

The silent shift from "two weeks to slow the spread", (acknowledging that everyone was going to get Covid, but this way the hospital system wouldn't be overwhelmed, and the people who'd die from the shutdowns would be less than would die of untreated Cavid) to "we can eradicate this disease altogether" (ignoring the fact that it supposedly came to us by crossing a species border in the first place) would've- and did- made anyone paying attention suspicious. The naked power grabs that came with it removed any ambiguity: regardless of the legitimacy of the fear, the crisis WAS being abused by politicians. Counting "deaths with Covid" as "deaths OF Covid" was nothing more than an attempt to inflate panic.

The push to force people into taking, en masse, an untested new medical treatment (from a whole CATEGORY of untested treatments) was one of the most irresponsible things I've ever seen, and doubly so when you look at what it was trying to prevent: Sweden didn't shut down. Florida did, but only briefly, then pretty much went back to normal. Both places failed to see the massive deaths predicted. And yet much of the medical industry mandated injections, firing thone who refused, and RISKING COLLAPSE, meaning the lockdowns were for *nothing*. The damage to children's development was for *nothing*. The drug addictions, suicides, and economic seppuku were for *nothing*.

Covid is, for anyone under seventy and not dying of something else, a glorified cold. But in the name of fighting that cold, we engaged in a society-wide Milgram experiment, and vanishingly few of us held to principle in the face of authority and fear. Given the rising trends of authoritarianism this century's seen, coupled with the actual mildness of Covid, it's not hard to see why some would think it was all a massive psyop.

I had so many arguments with Covid deniers that now I don't waste my time and energy with them. It's not worth it.
I guess they don't believe that it's real because they never had it, because they never lost a loved one to the virus or because they're arrogant. Some people think they're invincible and unstoppable so in their minds Covid doesn't exist and it will never affect them.

I’ve buried or cremated too many people who died either directly from COVID or with it as a contributing factor for it not to be real. Those who think it’s some grand government conspiracy are married to what they want to believe. I just ignore them.

I have not heard that actual claim.
Do you know the difference between a Conspiracy theory and the truth? only a few months.
All the conspiracy theories that where blocked and labeled as misinformation is now being broadcast by the main media that originally labeled them misinformation. So by their own words and actions they show hypocrisy and label themselves as those who spread misinformation.

So many of the conspiracy theories have been either proven true or so plausible as to be accepted as true.

But I don't feel the need to waste both our time trying to convince someone who has not looked at both sides of the story... well its becoming one side.
It started out as one sided. They crushed anything that disagreed. But, the truth came out, They now have only one thing left to say. But you need to see for yourself. I never hope to convince anyone of anything. I hope to only open their eyes. TO step off the high moral ground they entrenched themselves into without any reason for their cause or stance. And when they are found for no reason for condemning everyone, they are hoping to escape that same harsh condemnation. But this time there is a reason.

So I urge you to take a good hard look at the things they where able to do during this pandemic that made no seance, that trampled the rights of people, that divided people, that was unethical, that was unprecedented, that gave tremendous power to individuals and organizations, that was flat out refused to be transparently disclosed, that was lied about, that was hypocritically done... and sooo many other things.
Then ask yourself would any of this been allowed without it?

They belive this because the government is filled with liars. PCR tests are unreliable at detecting a virus. The whole reaction to covid-19 has been coordinated, filled with lies, and a violation of people's rights.

I honestly don't know how someone can be alive in June 2022 and still think that the government entitites involved have your health and well being at heart, and that the covid restrictions were 'worth it'.

Not a clue, my wife and I are both vaccinated, and we both caught it. It was super mild, like a bad cold, but we caught it. Those that say it's not real are delusional.

I don't trust government or the psychopaths people elect into office. People that seek power over others are evil. I also refuse to live in fear whether real or not. I've never feared death because I've not walked the evil ( self serving) path. Also, my body my choice right?

I just had it a few weeks ago and it’s no joke, the crazy thing is I’ve never been sick in my whole life but covid was horrible my body was sore, my throat was dry, and I had a massive headache not to mention that I’m only 21 and very healthy

Maybe it has something to do with the government being extremely dishonest and corrupt. Notice how no one believed or was listening to US government when they were warning Russia might invade Ukraine but then they did and everyone was shocked. Its like the boy who cried wolf.

They believe in it , but know it was no big deal and that it was used to keep Trump out of a second term and now we see what happens when one party is allowed to do that.

You can’t ask this question and then say “no conspiracy theories please”. Anybody who thinks that it isn’t real or that it isn’t as deadly as made out to be has to believe that the media, the government, medical experts etc. have been lying.

All I know is that I and everybody I know has had it more than once, and each one only experienced at worst a fever and minor cold symptoms. Even the old people.
