+1 ypeople won't take stuff seriously till it impacts them personally. others are influenced by the severity of it. If you work on medical, you'd see how impactful it is.
In my circle... I had it. I disregarded the severity, took a risk exposing myself to a homeless woman (who is probably dead now) and I paid the price. I know how bad it was to not be able to breathe for 2 days, I can see how people die from this. I also suspect some longer term impact to energy... long covid possibly. live and learn.
I lost an uncle to it., that's what they said.. who knows if it was that. But he was way over weight.
But that's it. anyone else, just got a "cold" or didn't get it... all I know have had the vaccine. To them, it's over blown.
That's the difficulty of managing this at govt level... like herding cats.
Hows that different than smoking, or cancer, drinking or fleas or terrorist attacks? how many people take risks of any of this seriously... and it kills many. humans are frustrating...
If donald J trump says it is an issue, pushes to get a vaccine, takes the vaccine all 3 times... you'd think that send a message, but some aren't gonna listen to anything.02 Reply- +1 y
I've been screaming from the rooftops for over a year now to show us the real numbers. Show us the numbers of deaths from covid as opposed to death with covid. I was called a conspiracy theorists radical conservative etc. But just now the CDC is going to break those numbers out according to their announcement. Watch their website the number of deaths will plummet but you'll never hear from it in the media. My question is why the hell did it take so long to get us the real numbers as opposed to some panic that it has caused by reporting those who died with covid vs those that died from covid. The numbers are drastically different. Strange how they just pick certain times when certain politicians numbers are in the tank to come out with the truth. They see a political benefit of some sort and that's why the truth is coming out.
- +1 y
@Baredog69 they actually can differentiate? I'm surprised they know and will tell. post the results when they come out.
What I heard from people in the hospitals aligns with the panic levels, hospitals had hard time helping the patients. I think the problem is for some people it is severe and for most, it's not so bad. The govt skewing the numbers... will be interesting to see how much.

u +1 yBecause there's nothing to take seriously anymore. It was nowhere near as deadly as it was originally projected to be. In March of 2020, we were told to expect 2 million deaths in the US. We're two years in and we're not even at a million. Most of the deaths have been people above the age of 70 or had comorbidities.
Then there's also the fact that this has been politicized to an extremely annoying degree and the messaging has been inconsistent at best. People couldn't go to church. They couldn't visit with families or friends. They couldn't go to work. They lost their family businesses. Drug use went up, depression and anxiety went up. And it was all in the name of public health. But then some dude with very violent and disturbing crime in his past dies under questionable circumstances in police custody and then all of the sudden, it's totally cool to be in large crowds without masks or social distancing. Stupid and unexplainable hypocrisy.
And now that we're still talking about contact tracing and now vaccine mandates? This is getting more and more suspicious, more and more ridiculous, and people are tired of it.11 Reply- +1 y
Because it literally can't hurt me and it isn't any more dangerous to anyone than the flu.
Most reported "hospitalizations with covid" are people who went to the hospital for something else, were tested for covid while they were there and got a positive result.
Most people who died "with covid" had at least 4 other causes of death listed on their death certificates. Some of the most common being obesity, heart problems, lung problems, old age and existing illnesses like cancer and aids.
And even after you take all that into account, obesity and poor diet still killed more people than covid.
Why don't you take your health seriously to begin with? I do. That's why I don't have to worry about Covid.
If you are afraid of covid, you should be twice as afraid of McDonald's but you aren't. You're a paniced sheep.
That's why I don't take you seriously either. xD
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yI don't get it as well, how can people take the subject so lightly even after millions of people died over the world.
Most part of my colleagues think it's nonsense, doesn't exist, make up some conspiratorial theory or think the vacine doesn't work because all the previous jabs were created within more or less 5 years.
But covid-19 is a pandemic that affected the whole world, the economy and killed a lot of people. So, then the all the best scientists over the world were working to create a solution and are still.
Guess a lot of people get influenced by others opinions and then turn a blind eye for what's right in front of them.
Some of them would say that they know people that got vaxxed and developed covid-19 either way, so there's no use to it.
However, if u get the vacines u can prevent the spread of the disease to increase. And in case u develop Covid, your symptoms won't be as strong as it could in this way considerably preventing you to die.

Your information is incorrect. 94% of "covid" deaths weren't from covid. Plus thousands have died from the vaccines. I personally know someone that was killed by the first Pfizer shot, plus my aunt was hospitalized 3 times from the Pfizer vaccine and still has to have oxygen every day. Multiple others I know have got very ill from the vaccines too.
from December 14, 2020, through December 20, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 10,688 reports of death
And VAERS doesn't even account for all the vaccine deaths reported.

Who do you trust? Faucci that invested in the lab that caused covid-19 to be able to spread to humans?
Or the democrats that put in mandates that they themselves don't follow?
And the economy was only ruined because of the mandates and lockdowns, not because of covid.

@Baredog69 what a strange bunch of numbers to reference to. I guess I should check to see how old this post is. It showed up in my feed so I don't think it's too old.
I see what you were trying to do but you use the biggest horse shit numbers possible. You pulled up corona deaths when it was just getting started. And are these numbers for USA only? For your arguments sake, why didn't you use the top 5 or 10 reasons for death? You just used garbage comparisons instead. Heart disease alone has killed over 15 million since the beginning of 2020. Strokes have taken out somewhere between 10-15 million. Those numbers fight a better fight in the point you were trying to make. But to be fair, Covid deaths has had to pass 5 million by now I would think.
Because its something not to be taken seriously. What more can you do? Wash your hands often, dont go to crowded places, limit social interaction, isolate when sick. The vaccine is also dangerous, there's a lot the news media won't tell you! Stop being so fearful! And stop being a sheep. Do research of your own, oh wait... You dont know where to because CNN, world health organization doesn't have all the facts!!! People are dying from the vaccines too!! Did you know that the covid vaccines aren't legit vaccines? Its mrna that gets injected into you, which in a couple years will cause a cytokine storm and kill you!

The vaccine has killed 2 people in my area and put 20 people in critical care. NOT covid. The vaccine itself. I myself have been told by doctors that I’m not allowed to get the vaccine because it will give me permanent problems with my heart.

There are doctors coming out warning this vaccine can cause all kinds of crap. I never trust the government I’m old enough to know better I’ve been watching because I know there is a population crisis world wide the population is endangering the planet I’m waiting to see if they are culling people. You notice the first wave killed the elderly and the obese and others with autoimmune diseases. Who better to start with now this vaccine is causing death and illness. RNA and viruses are how they manipulate genes. What if they splice a disease or a genitive code in that vaccine that starts killing them for real.

Oh, I don't know. Maybe it's because the media has constantly lied about it for the past two years, politicians have been running around like chickens with their heads cut off knowing f*ck all on what to do about it, and self-righteous dumb f*cks walk around virtue signaling for trash like Anthony Fauci, thinking their $2 Walgreens masks and poison Johnson and Johnson is making billions off of is going to "save lives."
I work in education, so I take all the precautions necessary aside from poisoning myself with S1 spike protein bullsh*t and dying of blood clots or a stroke. But people have every reason to be skeptical after all of the lies, misinformation, and censorship that's been coming out; mostly from the lunatic left.
If they wanted people to take COVID more seriously, then don't tell them to go out and riot for George Floyd in the middle of a f*cking pandemic, or to defund the police during a global pandemic, or to only save masks for doctors, or to censor factual information that COVID came from a lab in Wuhan, or to force people to take the COVID vaccines despite Moderna, AstroZeneca, and Johnson and Johnson all having severe issues with them and sweeping all those deaths from them under the rug. Or am I the only one who actually pays any f*cking attention to anything?
Yeah, because only an "idiot" would not want to permanently lose their freedoms over some BS CNN and Fauci told them. 71 Reply- +1 y
@MCheetah very well said. Couldn’t agree more…
Because this pandemic was not understood in the beginning the test were grossly signifying false positives. The number of fatalities was grossly inflated due to the fact that if you died with covid no matter whether you had a heart attack or liver failure or some other underlying problem as long as you tested positive for covid it was considered a covid death. So the numbers are skewed tremendously. This pandemic is simply the flu that has been renamed. There's no longer any flu there's no longer any bad cold there's only covid-19. I would never take that shot unless they tied me down at gunpoint and forced me to. Masks don't work Dr fauci said that in his own words. He said it's a window dressing that makes people feel better just before he changed his mind and said oh yes we should wear three masks. He has contradicted himself every step of the way he's one responsible for funding the research that caused this in the first place. He's the highest paid government bureaucrat that we have in this country. He was in trouble in the early nineties for his research on humans with HIV. This man is psychopath with a PhD and needs to go. The problem is the mandates of keeping people cooped up together inside their homes and away from the outside where it is safe. Forcing them to wear a mask which is depriving themselves of oxygen and also causing upper respiratory infections. Proven facts look them up. I'm not denying covid is real. I'm only stating that it is nowhere near the seriousness they are making it out to be. For example since December 1st 90% of new cases of covid are the Omicron variant. As of December 26th of 2021 there had been one death linked to Omicron and that gentleman had several underlying conditions such as overweight heart problems blood pressure and others. So what did he actually die of who knows they labeled it Omicron I guess we'll never know.
+1 yBecause it's not serious. It's a mild respiratory infection. It will, if things continue as they're going, become less mild as the horribly leaky "vaccines" that we have don't provide sterilizing immunity, pushing mutations that could actually become MORE dangerous.
The decision to count every death with 28 days of a positive test as a Covid death doesn't actually make it more deadly, it just inflates the numbers to sustain the panic. Isolating the vulnerable and sending the young and strong out to build herd immunity could have saved a lot of lives- and that's just among those we've already lost. When it became clear the only way out was herd immunity, people could've made rational assessments and decided when to seek infection, or simply encouraged others to do so if they themselves weren't strong enough.
Instead, they chose to hide, treating a normal disease as an unstoppable boogeyman. What did you THINK was going to happen?40 Reply- 451 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yI don't get it either. I'd say because it hasn't affected them but I've seen stories about whole families still believing it's not real even after 2 members died from it (both whom maintained their beliefs of it not being real til death) it's really sad how easily manipulated people are by others, by organizations who are just preying on people to get a quick buck. The organizations are obviously getting money from these people too so far I've had 5 flyers that are anti vax in my mailbox 4 of which are very professionally done and on gloss paper. A lot of people don't want to be inconvenienced by Covid, so they ignore it and convince themselves it's not a problem. Let's face it, getting some shots and wearing a mask is a pain in the ass, so if you convince yourself that Covid is fake, it doesn't infringe on your 'freedom and rights'.
On top of that, you have these right-wing conspirists on the airwaves spouting their bullshit, and some people just get pumped up listening to all that, and just accept it as fact, without further investigating the issue.10 Reply

@snowboarder720 well we certainly don't have hurricanes in California or tornados. But we do have wildfires and earthquakes so that stuff is regional.
- +1 y
Everyone knows disasters are regional. Just because you don’t personally experience the disasters doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be taken seriously. What matters is that you’re using a double standard on COVID. Because COVID doesn’t impact your region as hard shouldn’t mean that it should be overlooked by other disasters.
- +1 y
@snowboarder720 that’s the problem with Covid. Funny how one case of Ebola freaked everyone out.
- +1 y
Have you seen what Ebola does to the body of infected? That is turns your body into bloody soup and has 50% fatality rate? That was why everyone was so freaked out, because if they contracted it, they could just flip a coin. And even if they survived, they went through hell as their body was bloody mush.
- +1 y
More like COVID killed 482× more people than Ebola (5.5kk vs 11k). And that is is, people are more afraid of losing half of the people they know (the same way you would say "don't point that gun on me" even though the general chance of dying of gunshot is pretty low world-wide).

They developed a vaccine in record time and people say if you did develop it so quickly why can't you do it all the time? The numbers of cases were all over the place nothing was adding up! Why bother wearing any mask with less than a N95 rating. It's be proven time and time again cloth and paper masks are useless "window dressing giving people false hope" ~ Dr. Fauchi himself said that. And 99% of people wearing masks are putting themselves in more harm by the way they are using the mask or misusing them I might say. If you're wearing that mask and you touch the outside of it to pull it down off of your face you've just contaminated your hand you may as well throw the mask away get a new one start over wash your hands etc. Cloth mask paper mask do not work why do you think the government is sending out free n95 masks to everyone because it's the only effective mask that works at all.
According to worldometers. info, more than 57 million cases have been diagnosed in the United States. Of those 57 million, fewer than 850 thousand have died. We know that some (many) cases are undiagnosed. We know that some (many) of the deaths were caused by other conditions (cancer, injuries, heart disease, very advanced age) but because the person had the coronavirus (or symptoms of the coronavirus) when they died, they are included in these numbers.
If we just accept the numbers as reported, people have more than a 98.5% survival rate. Most people who are in good health and are younger than sixty have a drastically better survival rate. They compare risk to reward and do not feel that they are at much risk. Approximately one in six people in the United States has already survived the coronavirus. They already know that their immune system can beat it, they feel even less risk.00 Reply590 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. From a societal point of view, it is a political question of how we deal with the pandemic. Time will tell if the initial response to covid by different countries was the correct one. Remember society is more than just protection from disease - it also requires overall good health, a healthy economy, a healthy public service system etc. The global response in developing vaccines so quickly has been extraordinary and a remarkable achievement.
Now that the world has more immunity, policy direction will naturally shift towards how we go back to a more normal life given that the disease itself will never go away.00 Reply

You take a mild virus that if you are 0-70 years old that has a 99.98% recovery rate, but instead by help of the media you scare the hell out of people by making it sound like the worst thing in the world. It’s directly written in the Saul Alinsky playbook.

Yes, but a lot of people have lost their loved ones to the flu, cancer, and the obesity epidemic. We haven't shut down the country because of that.
I'm sorry if you lost someone to this sickness.716 Reply- +1 y
Cancer is not contagious. Obesity is not contagious unless there's a genetic component in play - it's a choice most of the time. The flu is indeed contagious, but the seasonal flu kill rate around the globe is about 0.1% on the average. You can do your own research on what the Covid kill rate is globally. I say that because there's a lot of controversy over how the data is gathered, and how the cause of death is determined. But one thing is certain - it's a hell of a lot higher than 0.1%, and it isn't close to done yet.
- +1 y
Covid kills 0.003% congratulations its still less deadly than the flu
- +1 y
@captain_voidwalker Cite your proof.
- +1 y
Mortality rates vary greatly per country, at this point. Here's what Johns Hopkins University has to say about it. No matter how you add it up, it's not 0.001 %. That would mean seasonal flu kills 100 times more people than Covid has, and that's not true at all.
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality - +1 y
Then where are all the dead homeless people. They should be piling them up in the streets since desiases always hit homeless population's hardest. Also why are there not massive piles of bodies in 3rd world nations.
The fact is we don't have an accurate death count for covid because hospitals were financially incentivesed to label a covid positive person who dies of a bullet wound/ car accident/ whatever as covid. The fact is the government used covid as a convenient crisis to strip away your civil liberties and people like you capitulated. Even if covid was as deadly as they claim it is its barley more deadly than a nasty flu season.
And we haven't even gotten started on the breakdown of covid deaths by age bracket.
www.statista.com/.../
As you can see almost all of them are in the 65+bracket. So if your young and healthy you have nothing to worry about. Maybe skip the trip to grandmas if you have the sniffles - +1 y
@captain_voidwalker You have "less" to worry about, in the USA for example, if you're under 50 and healthy -- currently. This thing isn't done mutating, and we lost our chance to really slow it down after the vax came out. It also affects obese people at a higher rate, and the US broke the 35 percentile for obesity in 2021.
- +1 y
Wrong homeless is homeless in America or otherwise and still where are the massive death tolls in 3rd world nations.
The fact is the government is using fear to remove your civil liberties. Stop giving them an excuse to do so - +1 y
@captain_voidwalker Homelessness was not what I addressed. As to the "government", in the US, its been an ongoing project for decades to remove civil liberties and rights as covertly as possible. And whatever people think about the "libtards", it's ALWAYS the swing back towards conservatism that erodes civil liberties, disguised as everything from patriotism to nationalism.
- +1 y
Wrong both parties try and erode civil liberties. What I'm saying is don't enable that shit over a mild flu like virus they're hyping up to scare the shit out of you
- +1 y
@captain_voidwalker Im not enabling anything and I don't think it's mild for a lot of people. So, let's leave it at that.
- +1 y
I disagree for most people its so mild they don't display symptoms.
- +1 y
I had covid it was like a mild flu. I think the sickness that fucked me up the worst was West nile, ended up in the hospital with that one. Don't remember us shutting down the nation when that was going around but then again they didn't need to "fortify" an election back then either.

There is so much fake news being spread about it that it distorts the facts.

As a follow on from this, and this is how I understand it, if you disagree please direct me to a trusted medical information source such as the WHO or NHS.
Coronavirus has been around in many shapes and forms for years, it is basically the cold/flu virus.
When CV-19 first appears it was a new strain of coronavirus for which we had no immunity. When people caught this new strain it caused a dramatic increase in serious illness and death especially for those who were older or with a weak immune system. The vaccine allowed us to build up this immunity so now with the new omicron strain the vast majority are affected no worse than a normal cold.
I believe that this will be the last winter where this strain will cause significant impact on our daily lives. Some people will continue to suffer and die from CV-19 but at a level more typical with levels of flu each year.
What should we do going forward? If you feel unwell stay at home. Wrap up warm when it is cold outside and always wash your hands regularly. Wear a face mask if you do feel unwell and have to go out. We should have been doing that for years of course but it could never affect us...
They say it is just like a common flu and the lethality is lower than the regular flu, so it is not that serious to really worry about Also they say it is something planned by the countries governments to manipulate and control people around the world.
15 Reply- +1 y
@Apulu_3 Nor has it been disproved either.
I really don't know... Even if you don't die from the virus, do you really want to risk getting Long Covid? Long Covid is way more common than dying from Covid, and it honestly sounds way worse.
The people who are dying from Covid are generally on their way out anyhow. People getting Long Covid are people who are otherwise pretty healthy. Then they get this virus and just get wrecked.00 Reply

Though I still use my nose masks and sanitizers but I actually do not take it seriously.20 ReplyLots of people have lost their loved ones to the flu. The morality rates were only super high when no one had any immunity to it. Now everyone does have some immunity from it, from either vaccination or past exposure, at present the mortality rates are the same as the flu.
That's why people don't take it anymore seriously than the flu anymore, because it isn't.00 ReplyWell the initial data on the Omicron variants show something like the vaccine is twice as likely to kill you than Omicron yeah a lot of people are getting it but it's not really that big of a deal anymore and people die every day and I wouldn't be surprised of a lot of people that are included in that death toll just happened to have covid-19 I died from something else but hey we will never really know

Covid is real but is is not as lethal as the Main Stream Media makes out, and many of the deaths attributed to it has been from other pre-existing conditions. Yet again in August, September, and October 2021 covid was the second leading cause of death among Americans aged 25-34. It's not just old people who can die from it.
www.healthsystemtracker.org/.../ - +1 y
Having comorbidities that increase the risk of dying from covid is not unusual for adults in America. 60 percent of American adults have comorbidities. www.healthline.com/.../60-percent-of-americans-have-underlying-condition-that-increases-covid19-risk
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah and the thing you leave out is they were weak basically being morbidly obese or having multiple other prezisting conditions
- +1 y
I didn't leave that out actually. If you look at my previous comment I already pointed out the fact that 60 percent of American adults have comorbidities that increase the risk of dying from covid.
Opinion Owner+1 ySo you agree with me then that it's not a daily disease the problem is America's very fat
- +1 y
No I don't agree because it's more than just the obese it's a wide array of conditions. So many conditions that it affects more than half of all adults. That's a huge portion of the population.
- +1 y
If it was only a small percentage I might see your point but with more than half of all adults having conditions that increase the risks it's a daily problem that affects more than just a few high risk people.
- +1 y
It's a wide array of health problems that increase the risks not just a few severe problems.
Opinion Owner+1 yYes and if you're healthy you're perfectly fine you just proved the point I was making America is very unhealthy and it's really not a deadly disease unless you are stupid and got unhealthy
- +1 y
No because there is still a risk of dying even if you’re healthy.
- +1 y
What’s more is many people who seem perfectly healthy are not as healthy as they look. Being perfectly healthy is not as common as you think.
- +1 y
Need I repeat 60 percent of adults that’s no small number. That’s more than 1 out of every 2 and, even among the 40 percent who don’t have conditions there is still a chance of dying.
- +1 y
America is an unhealthy country yes but, even if you take care of yourself you can still acquire conditions. There’s no guarantee.
- +1 y
And again it’s more than just weight, dietary, or exercise related problems. Sometimes even if you live a healthy lifestyle you can develop serious problems. It’s not as rare as you think.
Opinion Owner+1 yI'm healthy and haven't been sick basically my entire life It is very rare the problem is people are very unhealthy
- +1 y
You might not have had any problems but just because you live healthy and have no issues doesn't mean everyone will be that lucky. Many people who are seemingly healthy develop heart disease, kidney problems, high blood pressure, liver disease, diabetes.
Yes being healthy significantly reduces the chances of obtaining those diseases but, it by no means guarantees you won't catch those diseases. The chance is there and it's not as low as you would think.
scopeblog.stanford.edu/.../
www.integrativeprimarycare.net/.../even-really-healthy-people-are-prone-to-diabetes-heres-what-you-should-know
www.karger.com/.../488446
Other conditions are genetic such as asthma which affects 25 million Americans, type 1 diabetes
which affects 1.6 million Americans, and schizophrenia can also increase your risk believe it or not. Schizophrenics are 3 times more likely to die from covid than those without it and 2.6 million Americans have this disorder. Bipolar as well increases the risk and 2.3 million have bipolar. On top of this 2.7 million adults have compromised immune systems thanks to disorders. Now all cases of a compromised immune system are genetic but many are.
So right there many people are genetically high risk through no fault of their own. Even among those who are not genetically high risk and take care of themselves they still run the risk of contracting comorbidities. So the odds of doing your best to be healthy but still developing a condition which make you high risk are not as low as you think.
www.cdc.gov/.../...le-with-medical-conditions.html
www.aafa.org/.../ - +1 y
*Now not all cases of a compromised immune system are genetic but, many are.
- +1 y
Also don't forget even if you're perfectly healthy there is still a chance of dying from covid.
Opinion Owner+1 yThe chance if your healthy is so low it's actually less than the common flu
- +1 y
Covid had killed more people then the flu.
Opinion Owner+1 yThat's not what I said I said if you're healthy your odds are less than the common flu now you're just gaslighting because you know it's not a deadly disease
- +1 y
No I'm not gaslighting. The risk factors for covid are the same as flu just more severe. Healthy people have a relatively small chance of dying from covid but not less than flu. If that was the case then covid would be less deadly than flu in general. Everyone is more likely to die from flu healthy or unhealthy.
6 percent of covid deaths are among those with no comorbidities. That doesn't mean covid is less dangerous for healthy people than flu. As of right now there 847,538 confirmed covid deaths in the usa. That's 50853 deaths from covid. That alone is more deaths than in most flu seasons let alone those who die from flu without any comorbidity. - +1 y
From March 23rd 2020 to March 23rd 2021 567,000 people died from covid 34,020 died without pre existing conditions. In a bad flu season 2018 flu 60,000-80,000 die from flu. This was considered the worst flu season since 2000 and even more specifically since the 1960s. 15 percent of flu deaths are among those with no comorbidities let's estimate on the higher end and say 80,000 deaths that means 12,000 died without pre existing conditions. That's still a much lower number than those who died from covid without pre existing conditions and this was considered a very severe flu season. Most flu seasons are nowhere near as bad as the 2018 season. So in any other flu season it would have been much less than 12,000 deaths.
Opinion Owner+1 yIf you're healthy no it's not you're just confusing data because you don't understand the problem is the unhealthy and then they just remove that from certain data points to make you not understand you're being tricked intrigue and you're just cheering it on because you probably want socialism or someone
- +1 y
This has nothing to do with socialism and I'm not being tricked. The point is you said healthy people are more likely to die from flu than covid. No again even the healthy are much more likely to die from covid than the flu. Yes it's true that healthy people make the minority of both covid and flu deaths but, they are more likely to die from covid than flu.
The 6 percent statistic was not made up although it is a little outdated because it dated back to September 2020. I just looked it up and as of December 26 2021 5 percent of covid deaths are among those who are healthy. Even with the statistic being adjusted you still have a higher chance of dying from covid than flu as a healthy person.
www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7014e2.htm
So in essence my argument is not about establishing socialism and I'm not being fooled. My point is even for healthy people covid is more dangerous than flu.
Opinion Owner+1 yActually everything going on has to do with socialism it's about bringing socialism to a global level you're being tricked and fooled just like the Germans were by Hitler go read about hitler's 1st campaign against the Jews it's illiterally saying they were sick and going to make everyone get sick as well until you are so they have to be locked away
- +1 y
Vaccine mandates are nothing new long before covid you needed proof of immunization to be eligible for certain jobs, travel to certain countries, to be able to go to school. In 1902 Massachusetts made the smallpox vaccine mandatory to entire many specific places and in 1905 supreme the court ruled that it was not unconstitutional. George Washington also ordered his generals to inoculate his troops against smallpox in 1777 when he was in Boston and he did a quarantine of infected troops.
- +1 y
Also aside from the fact that vaccines or at least inoculations have existed for hundreds of years the concept of quarantine when a disease was spreading has existed for thousands of years. I should also point out that Chinese physicians in the 17th century attested that mild forms of smallpox up the nose increased smallpox protection. So long before both Washington and Hitler.
- +1 y
I should also point out that Washington mandated his troops get inoculated against the smallpox it wasn’t a suggestion.
Opinion Owner+1 yActually that was a myth he just had a small fine that's = like $50 now. It really never has been vaccine mandates that's a myth There's been recommendations and then saying you should get it to go here but there was really no way for them to enforce it no school's ever enforced it vaccine mandate you just said no and they gave you a waver
- +1 y
Some schools may be stricter than others but, there are schools which will refuse unvaccinated students and it's becoming increasingly common.
www.theatlantic.com/.../d
www.nyssba.org/.../ - +1 y
George Washington's mandate wasn't a myth at all
Here is a quote
"Finding the smallpox to be spreading much and fearing that no precaution can prevent it from running through the whole of our Army, I have determined that the troops shall be inoculated. This expedient may be attended with some inconvenience and some disadvantages but yet I trust its consequences will have the most happy effects. Necessity not only authorizes but seems to require the measure, for should the disorder infect the Army in the natural way and rage with its usual virulence, we have more to dread from it than from the sword of the enemy." - +1 y
Also if you look here there is a history of vaccine mandates. Some were repealed and other had exemptions but not all.
stacker.com/.../history-vaccine-mandates-us - +1 y
Many (not all) had no exemptions and this included things like religious beliefs, personal choice, or philosophy. In some cases none of those or anything else for that matter exempted you.
Opinion Owner+1 yThey all had exceptions you don't understand how the real world works it may say something on paper but no one follows it it's like the Mask mandate you go to places with it no one's enforcing it even though it says you need 1 you believe a myth
- +1 y
Yes some of them had exemptions. Not all of them did. Even in cases where there are exemptions those exemptions can sometimes be revoked depending on the circumstances. I understand just fine. Also as far as the mask mandate is concerned it was being enforced for a while a lot of people got in trouble for defying it. Not only that but in many places there is no longer a mask mandate. Even where I live they lifted the mask mandate for the most part.
- +1 y
For example in New York and California even before covid the schools revoked the religious exemption for unvaccinated school children.
- +1 y
Also I should point in many cases where there are exemptions it’s only medical exemptions it’s not always religious or philosophical exemptions. Sometimes those exemptions are made but not always.
- +1 y
Here’s an example of a revoked religious exemption www.news10.com/.../
- +1 y
Even in places where there are exemptions many don’t meet them and get fired for defying the mandates. 188 people had neither an exemption or a vaccine and were fired salish-current.org/.../
- +1 y
Also exemptions weren’t even my original argument my point is that vaccine mandates and quarantines are not synonymous with Nazi Germany. These concepts have existed both before and after Hitler.
Opinion Owner+1 yI they are you basically are a German worshippers
- +1 y
It’s not a nazi thing though. Even if there are exemptions they don’t apply to everyone and it existed both before and after the nazis and was done by governments nothing like the nazis.
Opinion Owner+1 yYes you are
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIt is their way of not dealing with it. Perhaps they don't want to face the vulnerability or admit that they can be vulnerable to a disease that is sweeping through. There are still a few people who still say that it is "just a flu"...
