Should transgender women that identify as a women that are serving jail time be allowed to switch over to women’s jail?

This is very controversial and my biggest concern is what if a guy with bad intentions wants to identify as a woman in order to just serve time with other women and possibly see them naked or such? I don't know? I don’t even know where I stand on here.

but i think it's something that also needs to be proven if you get me? and that is awful to prove your gender but you can't get the wrong people going to the wrong prison, but at the same time i definitely wouldn't want trans women going to men's prisons (maybe trans men would be safer in a womens prison but still?) - so if you're going through the hormone treatments or whatever/in the process of transitioning then that's okay I think, or if not, then if you can prove that you've identified as trans for a while before you had committed the crime - not a perfect system and i doubt everyone would be happy with this though

If you send a trans female to male prison they will 100% be raped several times its been proven multiple times.

There is no good answer. If a transgender woman is in a men's jail, they are likely to be picked on and possible sexually assaulted, treated as a weak man. If in a women's jail, they are also likely to be picked on and possibly assaulted as a man in a woman's area.

You can't really just say you're a woman after you're arrested and go to women's prison. You usually have to have lived as a woman for some years, and be on hormones for some years, and in some states you may even have to get surgeries before you can be legally recognized as a woman.

Most men wouldn't do that just for the *chance* to see naked women...
