Gender is a synonym for biological sex.

Biology books, animal anatomy books, animal encylopedias, etc. all use gender symbols for denoting biological sex only.

Not mentality, not roles in a family or couple unit, just their method of reproduction and the associated organs.

The video was interesting, I've not heard of that event before, but I find it perplexing that anyone would even be convinced that genders were mental when everyday evidence proves otherwise.

You can't change a person's nature they are born with, but aside from the dominant heterosexual attractions innate to each sex in normal devolpment, there aren't any other male or female ways of thinking, so there isn't any point to sex reassignment surgery for mental reasons, because anyone can like or dislike anything despite their gender, so even if a person did act or think differently after surgery, that would not be acting like a different gender, it would just be acting different, and you don't need to cut off or add organs to act different.

The guy who made up gender was a pedophile quack eager to prove that sex was a social construct. Both of the boys he mutilated committed suicide later in life and many people who transition still commit suicide.

Sadly gender dysphoria is a mental condition. The only know "treatment" is the transition. If that helps people sure let's make it.
But I don't think any teen should be allowed to do it.

We need to act according to what is possible. There are afflictions where people believe they are animals. That does exist. We don't try to turn those into animals because nits not possible and because they would no longer be able to operate as a human being.
Trans people can have normal lives. Work. Be productive members of society. Have a family.
Sure trans women can't have their own babies, but so what, let them adopt.
