Yes and no.
normal salary jobs of course if both you are working at McDonald’s or your a computer engineer both working the same amount of hours yes they get paid the same.
as far on commission jobs like car salesman jewelry salesman or sports like soccer no they shouldn’t get paid the same there paid should come from how much money they bring into the company. So in jewelry and car salesman one month means either the man or a woman will get paid more than the person doing the same job at the opposite sex but this is goal commission (same goes for acting) Sport women will never get paid the same as men Male sports are way way more popular then women's sports the only time we watch women’s soccer is during the women World Cup beyond that no one cares about women's soccer we like soccer but men play a better soccer game then women so we watch men’s soccer during the years between the women's World Cup so women will never get paired the same as men in sports they don’t bring in enough revenue there paid on commission so women will always get paired less in sports

Pay is almost entirely individual. There is no such thing as what men get paid and what women get paid. It's what individuals get paid. Two men sitting side by side, who have similar backgrounds and experience, and doing the same basic work, can have a 2X difference in pay, maybe even more than that.
In other words, one person could be making 30K and the person next to them could be making 65K, regardless of what sex they are. That's a pretty extreme example, but it happens.
It's all about knowing what you are worth, and the ability to sell yourself and negotiate. If one person makes more than a similar person it probably means they are better at those things.
In addition to that, there is no such thing as two people who are exactly alike and worth the same amount. There are way too many factors to consider.

I think the biggest part of this puzzle would be the question of 'are men being paid the same as men?'
I dont know how things are in other parts of the world but here in the UK, as far as i know most jobs just pay whatever rate they pay and thats that, your genitals or your negotiating skills etc are irrelevant.
Once you start getting into more skilled work however you have to negotiate your wage and at this point how good you are at assessing your own value and how good you are at negotiating your pay is what determines your pay, I suspect that this explains the discrepancies which are cited between male and female wages but the people moaning about it always ignore or werent intelligent enough to find out if the men are being paid the same as the men and or if the women are being paid the same as the women.
Also, as women have a strong tendancy to only date men who have at least as much money / income as them any woman who is in skilled work is likely dating a man who is in even more skilled work so as they dont need the money perhaps this explains why they aren't negotiating better terms?
Or of course you could just get your panties in bunches and start raging about sexism without having the first idea what the word even means.Only if they do the EXACT same job as men. So when it comes to sports, the military, emergency services, and similar fields, women should NOT get the same pay because they do NOT do the same job.
They do.
if I advertise for a role, the headcount salary is usually fixed to that role with some latitude if the person ticks the boxes needed. It’s not depending on gender it’s on ability.Yes, and they do! Except in porn, where they make shitloads more than men, who do most of the work.
If they do the same work as if a man carries a thousand pounds of rock a trip, then she has to carry the same that's getting paid for the same work
You talk about female basketball?
As soon as women earn as much as men, they'll get paid as much as men.
We do.
They already are
my boss is a woman, she gets paid more than me
Is there any reason at all why we shouldn't?
This means that women aren't paid the same…
