Illegal.
Infants cannot consent to body mods and circumcision has no medical benefit.

I find it very bizarre that so many guys really miss the question - they're more concerned with whether they were circumcised or not than addressing the immoral implications of the practice.
"I was circumcised so it's OK to inflict this suffering onto the next generation."

Some of the typical arguments I see pro-baby-mutilation people use -
"I just think it looks nicer"
Uh... Why are you concerned with attractive baby dick? Do I need to contact the authorities? I don't think you should be allowed near kids.

"It's easier to clean"
How gross do you have to be to rather have part of you cut off than clean it?

"Less likely to catch STDs"
Not true. And again, why are you worried about infants catching STDs?

"No adult would get circumcised!"
Then if you're so sure an adult version of the same person wouldn't consent, why assume a child would?
Because they won't remember the trauma? That's a lame excuse. We should be able to do all sorts of things to kids if the argument is they 'won't remember it'.

"Muh religious freedumb!!"
Babies are atheists. Your religious freedom entitles you to do whatever to your own body, not someone else's.

The American Academy of Pediatrics states that the potential benefits of circumcision outweigh the risks of the procedure... so legal...

I would just go with what my husband thinks because I don't have a penis to refer to lol but I know many circumcised individuals... the Middle East has functioning penises, on average lots of children, and they are fine.

living in the desert a thousand years or so ago with little water for washing etc, I can see some sort of thing for it.

2022, modern showers, washing facilities, most countries populated by people with a level of intelligence that means they understand personal hygiene, where it’s people understand consent, then no it’s barbaric.

yes if it’s a 3rd world country, populated by fuckwits that do not understand how to actually wash themselves, then yes it’s likely needed to stop them catching things stopped by decent hygiene.

Imagine a country where they circumcise kids as they do not believe men have the intelligence to wash themselves and carry out good hygiene practices….. then they let the same people have guns….

I think it should be illegal for babies. in my opinion, it falls under genital mutilation, and it's a forced decision on a freaking infant. If you wanna get cut as an adult then go ahead, but don't force it on a being who can't even make a choice yet. Sheesh!

Circumcision is not necessary, and it destroys most of a man's natural capacity for pleasure, depending on how it's done. It also could contribute to men's impotence in their later years. The foreskin is there for a reason. It keeps the skin down there healthy and sensitive. Society has unfortunately made it a norm, but I hear it's becoming less and less popular, so that's good at least.

There are few religions which don't ask for consent. They just do circumcision. In my opinion, why foreskin is given if it is not useful. If you want to go with cut dick. Go with it. Do not force anyone to undergo circumcision and do not do for infants. Because, they don't want it circumcised later

Unless medically requiered, only an adult should be able to give consent to modificate (and in this case mutilate) THEIR OWN body and nobody else's.

Guys tell me they are happy to be circumcised and dont even remember getting it done as a baby. Also girls are not going to do oral as much or I mean uncut guys won't be getting oral as much in school that might change as they're older though.
