I’m not sure what you are asking: Those in the Protestant Church in England believed God came first and desired to worship Him. Catholic Church and Governmental Powers were not so fond of the idea. They discovered America and built the country on a Biblical Morality, Ethic, and Ethos. “Protestant Work Ethic”.
-They we’re the first to establish hospitals, orphanages, schools, and priority ☝️ was formal intelligence and critical thinking. Clearly Public Schools and the State of Moral Affairs have devolved from America’s founding…

It wasn't. That came later.
From day one, America afforded religious freedom to all. A national religion was not declared intentionally. How a person chose to worship was their own choice. Separation of church and State truly existed. That is no longer the case, especially since the Cold War. The Pledge of Allegiance was changed to "one nation UNDER GOD" as an affront to communism. Suddenly, being patriotic meant you also worshiped God. "In God we trust" was added to currency as well. These may seem like minor changes, but it added a religious element to government that should not be there.
Fast forward to now... A political party has aligned with a religious doctrine to guarantee votes. The rest of the party's platform is inconsequential.
These tactics are manipulative and unethical. Religion has no place in government.
You mean people making infuriating laws that force Americans to procreate?
