Why do the right wing think leftist are only about culture war stuff?

Because I’m a leftist and I couldn’t give a shit about these things. I care more about actual things that effect peoples lives like homelessness, universal healthcare, holding corporations accountable, taxing churches, helping the working class etc. Ie Populism.

Newsflash leftist populism is a thing. How about instead of getting upset about culture war shit we focus on policies that improve peoples lives and screw over the corporate overlords that run our countries.

Name one thing the Dems and/or leftists has done in last decade, that has seriously made a difference in people's lives? People other than blacks, gays and trans genders... I am talking regular working class homosexuls than don't give a shit about seeing the first gay or black person getting appointed to an office, or watching politicians pander to poor people about raising minnium wages, and then bitch about inflation while they raise taxes, give corporations free passes and increase interest rates.

I am not a right winger, not by far... I thought I was a left leaning type of guy... but the left abandoned their core long a go and they don't stand for anything anymore that normal working class people care about.

Remember when people would work jobs, and join unions and have petitions, or could buy savings bonds for retirement... now we get 401k plans and get pennies back on the dollars we invested decades ago, while banks keep your money locked up making millions with it... until you turn 60 and inflation kills it, and Uncle Sam taxes it. Right, the millions the bank made isn't taxed, but your pennies on the dollar retirement returns are. What are Dems doing about that?

My dad was a union man, voted democrats for his entire life because dems fought for unions... where are unions, and are dems doing anything about that? No.

Trump Tax bill fucked the working class... I mean I lost 3 to 4 different major deductions this year, from child support, alimony, work relocation allowances, caps on mortage interest...

That Trump Tax bill fucked me and working class people hard... do you see the dems even talking or trying to do anything about it? Nope.

Biden on television saying oil company profits are up, tax revenues are up (thanks Trump😐) so let's give gas tax holiday for 3 months. Okay so I save $2 at the pump for every 10 gallons of gas... so in 3 months I save like what $20 to $60 bucks... fuck you ass hole do something real and tangible.

Two party systen blows, I am not left or right.. they are all corrupt bought and paid for and the system is in a down ward spiral. But when Republicans get in charge, they know how to win... they tear shit down... sortch the earth.

And perhaps this "woke" shit is the Faustian Bargain that Big Business has made with Deep State Big Government. Why get female workers to hate male workers, and get Black workers to hate White workers, and as a result the workers can't get together and ask for a better deal, now can they?

As much as I hate the Left, especially the New Left, perhaps you of the OLD Left had a point after all. Now socialism DOES NOT WORK, but a better foreign trade policy, a better immigration policy, and a better family leave for workers policy could be discussed. Anti-Trust against these Big Corporations that have pandered to the "Woke" and squelched competition from smaller businesses (like that guy who makes great bedroom pillows, for instance), is something we can work on, together?

Really, though, the point is to talk about those things, which aren't actually political issues, instead of political issues. Ohh those big bad corporations... 99% of corporations have less than 500 employees. 53% of all employees work for that 1% above 500 employees. So you'd attack all the small and mid-sized businesses because of the 1%. Brilliant idea. Kill all small business because you can't control your own purchasing habits of products and services from large companies. And while you're at it force people to pay large companies through taxes or forced insurance purchase to have access to healthcare. It looks like you've really though this through.

You might be one of the leftists that are still focussed on that, but unfortunately the culture war is "more important" right now. (I don't think it is more important, but it is tearing our society apart).

Right Wing and Left Wing once upon a time had a huge overlap in values, both sides used to care about the things you've described. However, now as a right winger, it seems the left has been highjacked by the LGBT.

Teachers are teaching gender ideology and CRT in schools, parents are taking their kids to pride and drag shows, where grown adults can be seen wearing assless chaps and twerking in front of kids, trans women are competing in womens sports, smashing their records and even being allowed to enter womens prison facilities as an inmate. To top it all off, it is the left that is backing and supporting all of this. We can no longer focus on these important issues that affect everyone, because our culture, safety, values and children are being attacked.
