What do you think about the LAPD beating on marchers with batons?

People marching for their rights were seen getting clubbed by the LAPD on the news. Isn't it any wonder why people want the police to be defunded?

I would like to mention how many riots we've gotten within the past few years.
Cars being burnt down in front of churches right outside the nation's capital building.
A literal coup.
Semi truck drivers getting yanked out of their vehicle and beaten to near death because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The Capitol Hill incident.
The other dozens of riots that have gone violent.

I mean at this point here it's a miracle that the police are even keeping it together. Like for example a few years back there was a car accident and a police officer came to the scene to try to rescue any survivors but then he got shot at by I don't even know who it was don't know anything about the person who started shooting at the police officer who is just trying to save someone from a car accident but hey whatever who cares about police right?

You complain about the police and yet the police are the only thing keeping the country in check these days. These days most governors and presidents don't do their job the national guard almost never gets called in during violent riots despite the fact that that's part of the reason why they exist.
The police are the only thing protecting you from having your house burnt down by any random John, dick or Harry that decides they don't like you very much and believe me there are people out there who don't like you who would like to burn down your house but the threat of law enforcement is keeping them at Bay.

What was the reason? The defund the police crowd often fail to realize these "mostly peaceful protests" often involve fireworks, rocks, bricks, and just about anything else being thrown at cops. Why should they not respond with force when they are met with force? That is perfectly lawful if they were attacked first by the so-called tolerant left.

I have read that the "left" doesn't want the police defunded. They just want their money "relocated". Maybe you leftist's should hold a meeting and let the rest of us know exactly what you're for and against.
