1- off abortion is not illegal in every part of America. all the ruling did was overturn it at the federal level which ultimately means it's now up to each state to decide how to handle the matter. many deep blue states will likely go pro-abortion with no restrictions. many deep red states will likely go pro-life with heavy restrictions. while the rest will likely go pro-choice with limited restrictions.

2- without federal protection for abortion rights it's likely to effect hookup culture more then anything else. since people will have to be more cautious when having sex outside a trusted relationship.

3- ideally sex is meant as a tool to help couples bond on a deeper level and not something to be used for casual hookups. but I'm not saying couples should have to wait until their married to start having sex. just consider waiting until they proclaim each other as their relationship partner before having unprotected sex. so if the result is pregnancy they have hopefully talked out what they plan to do about it.

The country used to be more progressive before Trump/Pence in the mid 2010s rural America was not as politicized about abortion, lgbt rights, and recreational drug use. Though Trump's hometown territory became more left wing such as NY, NJ, and parts of Southern Florida especially Palm Beach. Back in like 2014 my state NY was always a solidly blue state like Maryland, but the state became more like a West Coast State and NYC that used to be more moderate became as liberal as West Hollywood, and The Bay, socially and politically post Trump because they knew him personally. For Middle America Trump had the opposite effect.

Because the Supreme Court can't just decide "we're going to revisit a previous ruling today"; they need to wait for an appropriate case to come before them, and then decide to hear it.
