Did the overturning of Roe V Wade help the US?

I think it did. I was a sleazy guy when abortion was totally legal everywhere. I often think of a time when I busted inside a southern tourist I just met, I would have not done that today. It’s honestly turned the country back to a more family oriented culture, and I am happier because of it. Religion feels like it’s more important, and divorce feels more stigmatized in the country now. Didn’t care about it when it was first overturned.

Over turning Roe vs wade, was like bringing back prohibition. Prohibition didn't work then and it won't work now. I'm a conservative in EVERYTHING BUT stepping on a woman's right to terminate a pregnancy if she chooses to do so.

I think the Supreme Court's 'back door' sleazy, action of overturning a decision that stood for 50 years was the worst possible thing they could do. It was a BACK DOOR thing since they intended to 'spring' it on society as a "SURPRISE", SURPRISE, decision.

Now we are in the 20's again with Prohibition... we'll see how that plays out.

Like most things, it was a step toward something. Either more religious laws, or state by state abortion laws.

I don’t think so. Abortion is still going to occur, but in unsafe circumstances. Most people who have abortions already have children, so it is not taking away a family-oriented culture. Banning abortion will lead to further poverty and wealth inequality. I don’t think banning abortion is going to repopularize religion or long-standing marriages; that ship has sailed. Just watch and see.

It’s the first time a right was extended to a group of people then taken away at federal level after 50 years. So what freedom goes next? Your freedom of religion?
