This is the son of el chapo. He was arrested by orders of USA and then released by the president of Mexico because his gang overpowered the local military and police. This means Mexico does not have the resources or power to stop cartels or drug trafficking or do they? What is even crazier is we ignore just how bad of a job they do and how much help they need. We accidentally make their situation worse because we are the ones who supply the cartels with the guns they use to overpower everyone in the first place.
Why does Mexico do such a bad job at tackling the drug trafficking problems? They always release drug lords?
The CIA and NSA have long been known to support and fund gangs and terrorists, like we saw with Operation Typhoon and Operation Condor.
These people are cleverer than the US and tend to overbuy and not trust the US to have their back when the US eventually ditches them.
Hence the reason the US fucks up other countries for it's end, as it tries to set a thief to catch a thief and let others worry about the better thief it's created as a result.
I think the dealers have power because Mexico does not provide people with easy job opportunities and their laws do not guard employees from danger so dealing drugs seems like the easy way out.

Once you let something get that far out of hand, it's too late to stop it.
You don't realize that many Mexican political officials are corrupt? And how do you think they ship drugs over the border so easily? You think all American officials are honest?
"The cartels" and the Mexican government are one and the same. That's why nothing ever changes. They only crack down on them when a rival faction is holding the puppet strings.

Corruption. Most 3rd world countries are rife with it. Mexico is no different. It reminds me of a soldier I met that helped train the Iraqi army after the toppling of Saddam's regime. He said, "We can train them. But we can't give them commitment. We can't give them love of country and shared sacrifice. That has to come from them". This what makes America so great. For all our problems, there is a shared belief by our people that our way of life is worth fighting for.
Because their leaders are bought by the cartels or cowered by fear. It's time to send the Marines and exterminate the cartels. The are committing acts of war.
