In the US it can save you a lot of money.
I am not married and have no girlfriend. My total amount of debt as I type this is less then $1,300 ( I used my credit card to pay for a mini-vacation). When I get my paycheck about 1/3 of it goes to savings and to some investments I have. When I am done paying my bills I still have more than enough for food , gas, incidentals, fun money. I am not wealthy but I am doing al right. Understand that in the US most marriages end in divorce and the courts tend to favor women when the divorce comes around ; the man will end up paying for years of alimony and child support and in some states he can also lose a portion of his pension to the ex-wife when he retires. Not to mention the system will favor her if she ever makes a rape accusation against him and he may have to spend huge amounts of money to keep his ass out of prison. A lot of younger guys see this and are putting off women.
I would not say that I have swore off women. I still have some short flings here and there but I am very aware of how a women's word can ruin a man and how our society will always jump in to rescue the damsel in distress while at the same time leaving a man to fend for himself against all the wolves out there this coming from the belief that men are strong while women need to be protected and coddled.
In my experience, avoiding dating or relationships at all, even for 5 years can make a huge difference when focusing on paying off debts, improving job skills to have better employment, and reduce stress at the same time. Just sacrificing for a few years like that can have life long positive effects. You can then go ahead and date or find a relationship after you are in a much better position in life. Not having debt sure makes life easier, and a more enjoyable and more comfortable job sure reduces stress too.
Having less stress will make relationships easier to handle as well so it really is a good benefit if you have the self discipline to handle it for a while.

In general developing a strong focus on accomplishing a goal will always make it much more obtainable. So yes if you choose to forgo things like dating, relationships will help a guy become wealthy if that his his main goal. But you have to remember that you have to be willing to work your ass off to reach your goals. So swearing off women helps but it does not guarantee that you will become rich and successful.
It can play a part in obtaining wealth. By that I mean if a person only has to budget for themselves than it’s logical that they will obtain more wealth. Although if they have a partner and they share their wealth than conversely one could also become wealthy jointly with a partner because of multiple revenue streams.
No it makes men complacent.
Most men if they don have to do stuff. They live small life still like 35k a year year lifestyles.
Now if you already had women and swear them off that's different because you likely achcived something already. Now you just gonna focus on that.
But a lot dudes would just play video games watch Netflix don't shower and work part time or live with their family and do just enough to get by
