I have no desire to join anyone’s “team”, that’s for sure. But I’m pretty sure I’ll always be at odds with conservatism, not for liberalism’s sake, but just the majority of what conservatives are angling for, at least socially, and just in a vacuum, really puts me off.

I hate to bring up religion, because I fully respect people’s freedom to worship, whatever deity you choose. But what I can’t have is any flavor of that leaking into societal expectations and laws, because that’s simply inconsiderate to everyone else who doesn’t follow the same religion. If you’re a governor of some state, and you’re a fundamentalist Christian, you can’t just ban, say, contraceptives, just because YOUR religion frowns on such thing. Handle that in your own religious community, don’t attempt to make it part of the fabric of general society, because that’s not everyone’s deal, nor should it have to be. If I worship the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, I can’t just become governor and ban S’mores for everyone😂 And while religion or America’s more predominant Christianity aren’t exclusive to one party or another, we’re kidding ourselves if we say the “Bible thumpers”, so to speak, don’t have a chosen side. And just to be fair, I don’t mean to assault Christianity specifically, I’d say the same of Sharia Law, for instance. Religion and societal norms/laws must, must, MUST be kept isolated from one another unless you have a completely homogenous population of this religion.

Second is the guns thing. I’m a huge hypocrite in the sense that I love graphically violent gun talk in gangsta rap, lmao, but the reality is I hate guns and gun violence, whether on the offensive or defensive. Like there’s just gotta be a less lethal way for us to deal with each other, this is absolutely fucking crazy. Like we shouldn’t want to be doing this to one another for any reason whatsoever, that’s disgusting. And again, I’m sure there are people who vote democrat who own a gun, but we know who The Party Of Guns is. The intensity with which they cling to them and the obvious uncontrollable addiction they have to the power these weapons give them is simply frightening. That kid that shot up the parade in Illinois yesterday, a doctor on the scene described “wartime injuries”, injuries of “evisceration”, and said one victim’s head wound was “Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.”, which suggests this person had the majority of their head blown off. And we’re going to go through the same cycle about how it’s totally fine that you can buy weapons of this kind of destructive power at the store. I mean, this is fucking bananas, I don’t know how everyone else isn’t seeing what’s going.

There’s more, but I’ll cut it short, and just say “Trump.” JFC, man….. these people would take an admission of guilt from Trump and call it a deepfake video. We’ve left reality. Anything negative is dismissed as “fake news”, conveniently. We can talk about how this is just a hearing and there’s no cross-examination like in a trial, but the whole Jan 6th thing gets crazier by the day. I’ve never seen such mental gymnastics to spin the most obvious story I’ve ever seen. “Kangaroo court”, “witch hunt”, “the deep state”, “conspiracy”…. there’s just absolutely no way to get through to these people, they’re so committed to going down with the ship, it’s unbelievable. All of the fraud theories are getting debunked, and some of the lawyers are even getting disbarred, I mean, what else do you need to see? Everyone’s against Trump, yet these people claim to be “the silent majority” (been anything BUT silent since Trump came on the scene, monkey see, monkey do, lmfao).

Morality legislates law though.. Whatever you believe in, that's what the law will be and that includes Christian beliefs.. Everybody thumbs their beliefs on what they think is moral in somebody in some way..

Also, most of the violence that takes place are with illegal guns in states and cities that have heavy gun control.. Chicago for instance.. If you take away guns, if won't stop violent crime.. And it won't stop the people who commit gun violence.. A gun as in inanimate object..

As for January 6th.. I mean it is completely overblown.. During the BLM riots they would have literally tried to bring into the White house if it wasn't guarded.. But yeah let's focus on an event where the only people who seem to have actually gotten killed were the "rioters".. I can see some of your points but I feel like most of it comes from a left leaning bias rather than an objective look at both sides..

@JDavid25 Ok, so…I get that, but I didn’t need religion to teach me right or wrong, it’s kind of just an innate thing. My true beliefs are that any and all attempts at large-scale organized society are erroneous on a natural level, we’re maybe built for very small tribes at best. Even if you microanalyze a homogenous culture, I’m not sure humans are wired to get along with one another particularly well, I think our personalities lend ourselves much more readily to small pack life, or even just lone wolves in the wild.

Gun control: it’s not the guns, it’s the attitude. The guns suck, but they exist, and fuck me if I know how to get rid of every last one or erase everyone’s memory of how to construct them or even envision them conceptually. Its not the guns’ existence, or their legality…. It’s just people’s mentality that’s fucked. Like even the self-defense side of it is fucked to me, man. You’re damaged if you desire to do that level of harm in any circumstance.

January 6th was what it was. I mean, it sure wasn’t nothing, and the intent is alarming. They’ve got police radio recordings of them scouting potential threats with “AR-15 stocks” (not even sure what a stock is, but they definitely had rifles, is the point) up in the trees and shit.

This is why politicians are the most twisted fucking people in the world. They prey on your vulnerability and will exploit it so long as it keeps them in power. They don't want people who think, they want blind obedience and utter compliance. Creating division to eliminate any form of cooperation that can turn on them in the long run.

I don't give a damn which side you are on so long as you leave me the fuck alone and do not under any circumstances impede or directly affect my way of living. If anyone does that, we will have a problem.
