As a trans man, I get bullied & harassed almost every day, and so does my friend that's a trans woman. She doesn't bother anyone, nor do I. So, cis people of G@G, why? What is it that makes you despise every trans person in existence that doesn't do anything to you? Seriously, get over yourselves.

@MrJoeyy So like she said, I am LGBTQ+ member. I'm gay, not trans but I do know exactly what you're talking about here. I don't go around shoving my sexuality into anyone's face. I don't shame anyone for having a straight relationship. Why must others shame me or hate me?

I think some people just can't handle change, so instead of trying to understand it, they reject it and hate it and call it "unnatural"... Some use their religious beliefs as an excuse to hate. Some are just unhappy deep down and can't stand to see others happy. They try to find some way to tear happy people down and with us, we have things they can easily use to hate us.

I don't think it is just one thing, but a combination of a lot of shitty things. None of which are an acceptable excuse to hate a person.

I have realized, that even though these bullies and hateful people piss me off to no end, the best way to get back at them is to be happy. No matter what they say or what the think, as long as you're happy, they don't matter.

I actually can't answer this. I don't have a problem with those that want to live their life a certain way do exactly that. It doesn't effect my life at all. I don't know any trans men or women personally, but I do have friends that are part of the LGTBQ+ community.

Not once has any one of them ever pressured me or made me feel uncomfortable. I support their decision to be who they want to be. Again, it has absolutely no effect on my life or my own choices whatsoever.

Every one of them that I do know are supportive of me and my life, so why shouldn't I be of theirs? That is the only decent and right thing to do. They are friends after all. That is what friends and family do for each other. I take zero issue with those in that community.

A very dear friend here @SecretsofKB is part of the LGTBQ+ community and she is one of the sweetest people you will meet. You just be you and ignore the noise. Those bullies are usually just insecure with themselves in some way and that is the reason they lash out.

I never bother anyone about it. But some people, and in my experience this has been the minority, some people really do push it in your face and it's an anxious feeling you get when you see a dude in woman's clothing and all of a sudden you feel like they're gonna start some problem with you... Even if it was only one or two people who just freaked out and took it to far.

But there aren't that many trans people and most people's experience with the LGBT community is them telling straight people what to do and being rude, in your face and annoying.

Once you've met enough trans people you start to get what it's all about. But until most people have interacted with some there's gonna be problems unfortunately.

Do not conflate gender and sex, gender was a thing long before we knew about genetic coding, and nobody went around pantsing people in the 1800s to see what junk they had.

And this isn't new either, well, not to the rest of the world or the rest of time. Some Native American tribes recognize anywhere from 5-7 genders, in India they recognize 3 genders, in Rome they didn't link gender roles to biological sex in the same way we do either, the Emperor Antoninus took a husband and was his wife, fulfilling ALL of the duties and roles of the wife, including the occasional beating and insisted on being referred to as a woman. Nero was also transgender and took a husband as his wife.

Transfolks don't think they are biologically the opposite sex, that's why they are "transgender" not "transsexual".

Depending on their location it is very possible... If they live an active lifestyle in a small town or suburban area of a deep red state like mine, it's very possible.
