Why can't people just leave the transgender community alone?

As a trans man, I get bullied & harassed almost every day, and so does my friend that's a trans woman. She doesn't bother anyone, nor do I. So, cis people of G@G, why? What is it that makes you despise every trans person in existence that doesn't do anything to you? Seriously, get over yourselves.

@prettypriya Thanks for the tag! @mrjoeyy So like she said, I am LGBTQ+ member. I'm gay, not trans but I do know exactly what you're talking about here. I don't go around shoving my sexuality into anyone's face. I don't shame anyone for having a straight relationship. Why must others shame me or hate me? I think some people just can't handle change, so instead of trying to understand it, they reject it and hate it and call it "unnatural"... Some use their religious beliefs as an excuse to hate. Some are just unhappy deep down and can't stand to see others happy. They try to find some way to tear happy people down and with us, we have things they can easily use to hate us.  I don't think it is just one thing, but a combination of a lot of shitty things. None of which are an acceptable excuse to hate a person. I have realized, that even though these bullies and hateful people piss me off to no end, the best way to get back at them is to be happy. No matter what they say or what the think, as long as you're happy, they don't matter. If you experience any hate or bullying or harassment on G@G, please... please, do not hesitate to contact me! I will do whatever I can to help!

I actually can't answer this. I don't have a problem with those that want to live their life a certain way do exactly that. It doesn't effect my life at all. I don't know any trans men or women personally, but I do have friends that are part of the LGTBQ+ community.

Not once has any one of them ever pressured me or made me feel uncomfortable. I support their decision to be who they want to be. Again, it has absolutely no effect on my life or my own choices whatsoever.

Every one of them that I do know are supportive of me and my life, so why shouldn't I be of theirs? That is the only decent and right thing to do. They are friends after all. That is what friends and family do for each other. I take zero issue with those in that community.

A very dear friend here @SecretsofKB is part of the LGTBQ+ community and she is one of the sweetest people you will meet. You just be you and ignore the noise. Those bullies are usually just insecure with themselves in some way and that is the reason they lash out.

I never bother anyone about it. But some people, and in my experience this has been the minority, some people really do push it in your face and it's an anxious feeling you get when you see a dude in woman's clothing and all of a sudden you feel like they're gonna start some problem with you... Even if it was only one or two people who just freaked out and took it to far.

But there aren't that many trans people and most people's experience with the LGBT community is them telling straight people what to do and being rude, in your face and annoying.

Once you've met enough trans people you start to get what it's all about. But until most people have interacted with some there's gonna be problems unfortunately.

Because they are weak leaders.

Strong leaders rally people FOR something, to stand for a cause. Weak leaders rally people AGAINST something. It is far easier to get people to act when they are hateful, and hate is the easiest emotion to evoke.

The Republicans don't actually stand FOR anything except "we hate _____", when they lose one fight, they move on to the the next smallest minority group thinking they can divide and conquer. First it was black folks, then gay folks, they lost both of those fights so now it's transfolks. They expect trans allies to cut transfolks loose politically because, quite frankly, they would when it becomes politically expedient, and therefore they think they can use transfolks as a punching bag. And if they win there, they feel it might change the momentum, which had been against them for 30 years.

You have to understand that ALL groups of people (Asian, Black, Native American, Latin X, Women, LGBTQIA, and even Physical/Mentally challenged)... And the division/hate IS generated by old, wealthy, white "Baby Boomers" who want to keep the power structure the exact way it is. They make money from the hate and division, HOPING that we all don't wake up and UNITE TOGETHER. We all have the same damn causes (just that everyone in their corners need to understand that) and fights. And yet nobody acknowledges and is willing to make it a reality. I don't go out of my Way to bully someone who lives a lifestyle I don't agree with. With that being said I don't agree with trans woman competing in women's sports.
