They are people just like us and I have some cool transgender friends. Im not transgender myself but I can’t understand why people hate on them…
Transgender individuals, particularly transgender women and men, often face discrimination and hate because of a lack of understanding and acceptance of gender identity. Many people hold traditional and rigid views about gender, and they may view transgender individuals as a threat to those norms. This can lead to fear, intolerance, and even hatred towards transgender individuals.
Additionally, some people may be influenced by misinformation or propaganda that portrays transgender individuals as dangerous or morally suspect. This can further fuel prejudice and discrimination, even though there is no scientific evidence to support such claims.
It's important to remember that everyone deserves respect and dignity, regardless of their gender identity. Transgender individuals are just as deserving of love, acceptance, and basic human rights as anyone else. It's crucial to promote education and understanding about gender identity, and to work towards creating a more inclusive and accepting society for all people, including transgender individuals.

Because they deceive people by making them believe they're biological men and women and trick people into dating/fucking them. And they think they should have the same privileges as biological women. And they're so creepy, agressive and violent and don't act very ladylike at all.

It's not about getting privileges, is about being treated normally. And they don't trick anyone. If anyone has sex with them is by their own will.

@this
Maybe people should act normally if they want to be treated normally. - +1 y
@Exterminatore what is normal? Are blind people normal? Are dominant women normal? Are people who have pet spiders normal?
People are different. Yet we all should be treated with basic decency. - +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 Not if they don't know they're a fucking tranny
And no, those things you mentioned aren't normal at all, except the spider one. They're anomalies. Keeping a scorpion or a rattlesnake or a skunk would be abnormal. - +1 y
All of those are normal. You not considering them normal, doesn't make them any less normal.
But... Let's say they are not normal. So what? As long as they don't hurt anyone who cares about what they do?
Well tou care about what they do, clearly. Even if they don't impact your life. So what do you want to make of them? Do you want them to stop existing? - +1 y
@this
You know what normal is. I don’t need to tell you that inverting your penis and calling yourself a woman is not normal. - +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 The George Floyd killing didn't impact YOUR life either, yet you still supported the marches.

@Exterminatore again, your definition or normal doesn't match reality. What is normal to you is just what is usual?
- +1 y
@KostasKouvalis because it's part of a bigger problem, aka racism. Prejudice. In trans case you can also say the narrative against them comes from nothing but prejudice.
- +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 Of course it is. You know that minorities are more transphobic than Whites
- +1 y
@KostasKouvalis that is true. They are.

For one it’s being shoved down our throats. Two, straight people are being shamed for feeling the way we do, being called transphobic. Three, a lot of us didn’t grow up w stuff like this. So imagine being told you had to disregard everything you were ever taught growing up. Four, people who say they’re people just like us they should be accepted for who they are, aren’t willing to accept those people who don’t accept them. I bet you don’t think we should accept people who are pedophiles for the way they are. I bet you won’t accept men who beat their wives or girlfriends. So should we accept everyone for the way they are? Men are being shamed for refusing to date a trans woman. The list goes on.

The only thing being "shoved down our throats" is that we treat them with decency. Nothing more.
And regarding the accepting part, no we don't accept pedophiles because they hurt others, but trans people don't. See the difference? - Opinion Owner+1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 so you say. Beta male
- +1 y
In what way do trans harm anyone?
- +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 If they wanna be treated with decency, they should do the same. A lot of them act incredibly hostile towards biological women and people who don't regard them as biological women.
Ideally, I'd prefer if they didn't exist at all, but I'd be less bothered if they acted like Caitlyn Jenner. - +1 y
@KostasKouvalis imagine that people holded a grudge against you for being straight and a biological male. Now multiply that for most of the world. That's how they feel.
- +1 y
We're at a point in history where straight people are shamed for only being interested in people born the opposite sex. Apparently, that means you are reducing someone to just their genitals and that denying the advances of a transgender person makes you transphobic. What do we call homosexuals, then? A lot of it isn't hate, it's a reaction to being deceived.

1. If your body is one gender, and your mind thinks it's another, why do they choose to change the body and not the mind?
2. It's deceiving. People feel like they're tricked when it's revealed that the person is trans.16 Reply- +1 y
Hey, these are some common concerns. Do you mind if I try and answer them here?
- +1 y
Sure
- +1 y
I didn't take the time to cut these down so I hope you don't mind them being long.
1. Most people believe the mind is closer to who you actually are than the body is. Consider how you think of yourself, if your body or your mind was switched with a stranger's, which one would be closer to the same you that you are right now? Also consider dominant philosophical understanding of the mind and body throughout history. Plato for example thought the body was actually a hindrance to the true human being. Most people now and in history believing something doesn't make it true, and I'm not a platonist, but it is something to consider.
But more importantly, the mind, unlike the body, can't be changed in this case. Just look up how effective "conversion therapy" is for trans people. So many people have tried it, It just doesn't work, and further is actively harmful to practice. On the other hand, physical treatment can be carried out safely, and has a real and increasing success rate in improving overall health and quality of life. This doesn't mean focusing on the mental side is not important, but does show that trying to change the mind to match the body in this case, is not a real option. - +1 y
2. This is actually a big reason why education and representation are so important. If people are never exposed to the idea of transgender people in school or in any literature or media, and their parents never tell them anything, and they never do any research on it themselves... of course they can't be expected to know that trans people even exist, let alone what that means. It is clear throughout history that media has a huge influence on how society thinks. If it says trans people don't exist, and even when they do they are just pretending, tricking people to take advantage of them or because they're some perverted freak of nature... that's what most people will believe, without ever considering that science and academia and real people have shown that is wildly inaccurate. And that's what they will act like in everyday life, not realizing someone they know could be trans and totally normal.
But if it was in the open, common knowledge that trans people do exist, and that it doesn't mean "man dressed as woman" but "person who is a different gender than what their body is/was" (and some further explanation because that's very reduced), then people would be much less likley to be shocked or feel deceived when they find out someone they know is trans. Because they know it's possible. And they know nothing has/will change about who the person is (even if their body has/may change) rather than thinking they have been pretending to be a whole different person for some dark/sexual motive. Trans people are pretty normal. Their situation has just been hidden and demonized to a lot of people. - +1 y
I've recently came to belief that it's better to prioritize body rather than mind. The mind is easily influenced. The body contains feelings and wellbeing. People act based on their feelings.
Your body is like your pet. It doesn't know any better. It would be weird to attempt to change your dog's gender. Just keep your body well fed, safe and fit. Don't try to modify it in any sort of way.
Healthy body = healthy mind
#teambody - +1 y
I'm not sure what you mean. The body may not know any better, but the mind does, which is what causes problems in the first place. If there was something wrong with your dog, causing it pain or distress, and you could afford a monthly pill with basically no side effects, or a one-time procedure that has a high success rate and short recover time, and that would fix it... wouldn't you do that? Even though the dog won't understand it?
What do you suggest a person do when they have a healthy body and mind, but are aware of both declining over time due to their situation? I don't think you're suggesting they should let it happen and suffer mentally and physically just to avoid any medical intervention. So can you maybe explain what you do mean? Thanks.

Because they insist on ramrodding this issue down everyone’s throat and can’t understand some people don’t agree with the lifestyle. Doesn’t mean everyone hates them, it means some people do not agree with it.

because they are all over the media demanding acceptance, when all they deserve is tolerance like all the rest of us...

also cause they push their sexuality in the public arena. nobody does that. it's ok that you're happy you came out of the closet... but these days everyone is gay or lesbian, so don't act as if it's a big deal.
like it feels more like a crazy narcissist ego trip than "the fight for acceptance". that's why people hate it.
Problem is we can't have a discussion about it without being called transphobic.
