Liberals are on the center left, with very conservative beliefs, but support government efforts (welfare) to help those less fortunate. We also acknowledge social injustices and support social causes. Leftists are farther on the left spectrum, and they’re more extreme in their “acceptance”, to the point that becomes irrational, and support enough government assistance to not only survive but thrive. Liberals believe capitalism is the way to thrive, but support welfare for basic needs. Conservatives see us as one and the same with leftists.
