The same argument could be made for parents who are uneducated, parents who are not bright, parents who are not ambitious, parents who have congenital medical problems, etc. Where do you draw the line?

I was raised by overweight parents. Eventually one lost weight. My mother was always skinny then gained more weight as she had more kids. My dad played lots of sports and gained after dealing with kids too I guess. Marriage stuff or whatever I don't know. My mom is 5'2 and my dad is 6'5. I'd say I'm fine though. I'm not overweight and I'm doing good in school. I'm more intellectual than the majority of my peers. My parents are very smart people my mom is a very wise person who can read in between the lines very well and my dad is a very driven and successful ceo. So I think it depends on more than just them being overweight.

If we're talking about obese people that may be a different story. Obesity is a mental and/or medical issue

The good thing about obesity though is it is a bodily condition and it makes it harder to conceive a child.
