I'm a liberal-moderate. I'm queer, pro-choice, pro-gun control, I'm for free healthcare, and I believe in multiple social justice initiatives (lgbt, feminism, etc), etc.. The thing is I genuinely can't relate to any of my peers. I hate when woke politics get brought up in every discussion for no fucking reason. I mean I'm sitting in my college classes and my teachers say things like "I saw this group of men- sorry I mean masc identifying people," "Let's play a game where we all do accents! Except for white people who come from colonizers. The poc here can do any accent they want. Isn't oppression great?" "You can't be racist to white people and they have no culture," "every gender can get a period." I mean I'm just sitting there like are you slow? And then the pride parades just disgust me, I mean it's just naked people running around... I mean it's genuinely fucking disgusting... and I'm queer but I can honestly see why people think we're freaks. And goodness now it's black inclusive pride flags? And don't even get me started on the blm non peaceful riots. But anyways, why do all the liberals I meet seem to be so "woke?" Is it just my generation and the media's control on us? Genuinely people my age think we're in a time equal to slavery it's strange. I mean I seriously think we could lessen the political divide if there were more people who didn't act like total morons in this respect.
As we make necessary and righteous progress on social injustices revolving around race, sex, etc... we are coming to a point where society is, for the most part, evening out in terms of moral uprightness. For narcissistic people who care more about looking virtuous than being virtuous, this is bad news because it means that they will not stand out as the paragon of morality in a country full of depraved people. And so what do they do? They get more extreme.
The woke crowd need to create moral distance (whether fake or real) between themselves and normal folks to feel like they are special; otherwise, no one will notice them. This leads to a number of insidious behaviours that they perform to demonstrate said moral distance. One of these behaviours is transforming their sense of moral superiority into a cudgel, where they publicly criticize others for being less virtuous than they are. Another habit of theirs is creating new social issues that others must support in order to be righteous like them; this tactic allows for them to always lay claim to being one step ahead of the rest of society in terms of their virtuousness. You are seeing this right now with the prescriptions accompanying the transgender movement (e. g., we must call people by their preferred pronouns).
I would advise everyone to give to the "woke" crowd as you call them, exactly what they deserve: disdainful laughter and ridicule.

Your generation has absoutely surrendered control to the MSM in hopes of at least establishing an identity and sense of belonging for themselves. I guess they are that alienated and that desperate!
“Masc identifying people” “except the white people that come from colonizers” this sounds like a troll post

Millennials and post Millennials have no purpose of goals. It is a way for them to feel morally superior to others no matter how absurd their ideas are.
your politics suck. Wokeism is the natural extension of having to stay relevant to keep power when the original problems they were against are mostly resolved. So they have to get ever increasingly radical.
Because they live and breathe, unlike the right-wing that live in their own little bubble.
You're not moderate, you're a communist.
